    Had my surgery today!

@@hubbark1 5 pounds a month with the band is about what I lost. I did lose 105 pounds with the band and I felt great for a couple of years. Then I got sick with acid reflux and it was because my band slipped. I did revision surgery and it slipped again. I got the band removed at that time and I gained all my weight back and then some. I'm happy I was able to get the bypass now. I'm 9 weeks out now and I've lost 43 pounds. I feel like it's slower than others and I have to be careful because I don't feel restriction like others say they have. All in all I'm thankful and blessed! I don't want to sit and complain. Good luck to you!

    Had my surgery today!

I find that I am losing slower than most people who have had rny. I had the band, which most people lose slower with compared to gastric bypass. I was hoping for a quicker loss in the beginning, but it's quite slow! Everyone is different I guess. Good luck to all

    Had my surgery today!

Congratulations! My band was removed 3 years ago and I had gastric bypass on 5/5/15. I'm not really feeling restriction and it's making me nervous. I am measuring everything and being very careful. I've lost 41 pounds. 90 to go. Best of luck to you on your journey!

I feel your pain. Today makes 6 weeks post op For me and this is my 2nd stall. I started exercising over the weekend and I walk. The scale is not moving! I also don't feel full when I eat. I'm mostly on soft foods. I did eat fish a couple of times and that made me full but I had 2 oz of chicken the other day and I could have kept eating. Depressing!
  7. Hi Beauty+5! How exciting- you'll be starting your new journey soon. For broth, try getting low sodium. I bought some small bowls (holds about 1/2 cup) and small plates, as well as baby spoons. Helps you get used to smaller servings. Inspire protein powder is great. I love the peanut butter cup flavor! Sugar free popsicles were my favorite thing for the first few weeks. Hope this helps ????best of luck to you ????
  8. Hi everyone! ???? I'm new here and I'm really enjoying reading the posts. They are very helpful. I had the band in June of 2005. I lost 106 pounds and was doing great for years until 2010 when my band slipped. I had the band replaced and it slipped again so I had it removed. Anyways I've just had gastric bypass surgery on 5/5/15. I'm 6 weeks out and I've lost 36 pounds since pre op diet started on 4/24. I had a weight stall a few weeks back for 12 days then I lost a few pounds and now I'm at a stall again for the past 5 days. Also I don't feel full. Is anyone else dealing with the same thing in the beginning of their journey? Help please!
  9. I've taken pills normally since day one.

Each Dr is different. I'll be 6 weeks out on Tuesday 6/16. I see the nutritionist on Wednesday and she is going to put me on soft foods. But actually I'm already eating just about everything. 4 weeks on full liquids was way too long. I'm eating healthy though! ???? I was at a stall for 10 days. Its annoying, but your scale will start moving don't worry! As of today I'm 36 pounds down. Best of luck to you!
