  2. I am down 50lbs at 3 months post op and really excited about it. However I feel like I may have ate a bit too much at a party this past weekend. I didn't vomit so I might just be thinking this in my head. Can eating too much just one time stretch my sleeve?
  3. U can have hamburger at 2 weeks out??? Yes. 95% ground meat, pork tenderloin, chicken, tuna, fish... My NUT told me as long as I can cut it with a fork I can eat it. I was only able to eat 1/2 burger. I really can't get much down to this day so I'm taking it a little at a time.

  5. Today is my 2 week post op (June 29) and I am now cleared to swim and eat mushies and I am so glad to be able to get protein from other sources than shakes BUT I have felt guilty all day every time I put something in my mouth thinking I am overdoing it. Here is what I had all day: A banana for breakfast, 1 egg scrambled with moz cheese and mushrooms for lunch and 1/2 hamburger patty for dinner (no roll) plus water in between meals. I'm down 25.5 since my pre-op diet (15.5 since surgery). My husband thinks I'm crazy and says I'm doing great. I'm guessing I will get used to eating real food and that guilty feeling will go away.

  10. I felt awful the first 4 days after surgery... A lot of nausea and dizziness. I wasn't prepared for it bc I never had that type of reaction to surgery and thought I'd spring right up. On the 5th day I woke up feeling 100% better. Just rest and once you're feeling better you can become more active. Good luck!

  12. Has anyone ever had to file a short term disability claim through Metlife and, if so, what were the outcomes? I had to get my band removed due to pain and vomiting and I had the sleeve done at the same time. TIA!

  17. I actually find the list of what I need to take in a bit overwhelming so I am just gettong as close as I can. I do feel a lot better now than I did this morning and am grateful for that. I think taking my vitamins helped a lot.
  18. I just had surgery on Monday converting from band to sleeve and wish I had done the sleeve from the very beginning. I have heard many stories of band failure and ppl converting to sleeve. I would recommend the sleeve. Good luck either way you go.

  23. I also have pain in my head that goes from the neck up but I'm thinking that might be from the way my head was positioned during surgery. I feel like w complete mess. Haha. But I know there's a light at the end of the tunnel.
  24. I had surgery on June 29th. I had horrible nausea and dry heaving immediately when I woke up in the recovery room and they kept pumping me with meds but nothing seemed to work. Next thing I remember I was in my room and still had nausea. I did get up and walk a few times that night and that made me feel a lot better. I came home on Tuesday and have had a real tough time getting in enough liquids. I constantly feel dizzy and even a slight blurry in vision and have to sit and rest after being up for awhile. This was my 7th surgery in 10 years (csections, gall bladder, lap band) and I never felt this bad this long after surgeries. Feeling disgusted. Just want to get in what I need to and have more energy to be active.
