  1. I went for my 4th week check up..im actually at 25 days. I weigh 284.9 sw was 316. Today was awful. Ive been getting really dizzy when i stand up. So i asked my dr. If i should stop taking my bp meds. He said no and sent me for labs.....I PASSED OUT. Full blown unconscious. My hands/ fingers contracted and i couldn't use them for 15_20 min. They gave me oj and told me my bp was 90/60 very low for me..so once i was better my dr told me to stop taking the bp meds all together. Me hubby came and took me to the ER. I had compcompletely normal labs but my bp was 100/60. My point is LISTEN TO YOUR BODIES. When YOU feel changes speak up.
  2. Im 22 days post op and im eating soft foods. Im only able to eat a couple ounces at a time. My problem is when i eat i get gas pains. It feels like there is gas in my esophagus and i cant burp without my food coming up. It is uncomfortable and makes me not want to eat. Once im able to burp it out i feel so much better and can eat more but follow the same pattern w7th gas. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas or remedies for me? Im 32lbs gone

  6. For those of you getting ready. 1 thing that REALLY HELPED my after surgery process was to take either drunk 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar EVERY DAY UNTIL SURGERY or take 50 billion probiotic with 20+ strand. This prepares your stomach for all the stress and helps eliminate the gas and pain. Im thankful i did it.
  7. Im doing great. Shed 30lbs. In 19 days. Im eating regular foods. Ive learned alot. My stomach favors shellfish. Shrimp and imitation crab. Avocado is great. And eggs. Ive learned to eat about 2oz then wait 30 min and eat another 2oz. How do you no when your full?????? It feels like Thanksgiving also, i am able to get my Water in ONLY by using a straw, i no they not to...my doctor said only because it COULD cause gas. It doesn't.

  10. Hi all...im 18 days post op and ive lost 29 lbs total since july 13 preop diet. My surgery was july 27. At first i lost weight fast. But now im loosing 2 2.5 lbs a week. Eating 500-800 calories a day. Low low low cards NO SUGAR and 60-80 grams of protein. Im worried because thats the weight loss amount i had eating 1500 calories a day. When i yo yo'd all the time. What am i doing wrong?
  11. I was originally scheduled at clinic san juan with dr Gonzalez. Bianca called and offered me dr. Camelo . I had researched dr Gonzalez with no luck. After having the sugery at hospital Florence with dr camelo im thrilled with my decision. Even while there, i mentioned dr Gonzalez but no one knew him. Dont be nervous, but everything in gods hands and follow the pre op. Also take 50billion probiotics or 1 tsp apple cider vinegar every day. It will help with recovery. Also, dr Gonzalez does NOT give you take home meds, if you want them, it cost $150 additional. You also have to get your stitches removed but dr camelo uses the kind that di solve. Good luck and God bless you
  12. Im in louisville. My surgery was july 27. 12 days post op. My insurance didnt cover so i went to mexico and self paid. Great experience glad i made that choice. Doing well and down 25lbs
  13. You need to tell ticket agent you just had surgery, you can get a medical preboard pass. Take a small tummy pillow and ask for a seat belt extender. Once the attendees know you had surgery they are very attentive.
  14. I had my gs on july 27. Dont worry, it will be fine. I had dr camelo at hospital Florence. 11 days out 25lbs lost and zero complications
