  1. I had LBS 12-19-07, I had my third fill 2/20/08. I'm somewhat confused because there are a majority of things I can't eat(or have a major problem with). It seems so weird, I don't really get a "full" feeling. It seems the only time I know when to stop is when I'm ready to thow up(I dont know if thats what everyone refers to as PB). On the other hand there are some things(unfortunately) I can eat alot of wiith no problem(re: potatoe chips, cookies, go figure). I don't know if I should get another fill or not. Any suggestion would be appreciated, Thanks...
  2. I have had two fills of which I think were both 3cc 's. My questions is this: I can eat some things and after a small portion have to stop because I get that not being able to digest thing going on. Sometimes if I dont chew enough or eat to fast I get sick and go through the siliming and thowing up. I cannot tolerate Pasta at all. But then there are some things I can eat with no problem and eat as much as I want(which is usually more than I should) . I was scheduled to get a fill tomorrow and cancelled the appointment. Can anyone relate or make any suggestions as to wether I should get another fill. Thanks............... Michelle
  3. Hi: I've had my second fill and got some restriction. The reason I ask what is restriction suppose to feel like is; I have certain foods that I cannot eat(Pasta, some breads) without experiencing PB, sliming & throwing up. I can eat other foods and have no problems and feel like I'm eating more than I should. My 2nd fill was on 1-24-08, should I get another fill or wait? I plan on weighing myself on Weds. so I don't know how much (if any) weight I've lost since the last fill. Thank you in advance for always getting an answer to my questions.....
  4. You should ask your doctor. I was banded 12/19/07 and I am a "diet coke" addict.... I can still drink soda. It does not bother me. I do not drink as much as I used to; its like everything else, its different for everyone. Some people cannot tolerate soda after LPS. I recently had my second fill which gave me restriction which I'm very grateful for but I cannot eat pasta. I have no idea why....
  5. Hi: I received my 2nd fill last week and do (Thank God) have restriction. It seems I cannot tolerate pasta. I had a lean cuisine today for lunch(fettucinne & chicken) and had about three bites and spent the next 30 minutes sliming and if I understand it correctly PBing. Not fun. Anyone else with that problem, Thanks, Michelle:rolleyes:
  6. Hi: I was banded on 12-19-07, my first fill on 1-16-08 (no restriction), I got another fill 1-24-08. I don't know if I have restriction.... what I do have is a hard time getting food down, it feels like its stuck and takes a while to get down. Is that what they mean by restriction?
  7. I had surgery 12-19-07, my first fill 1-16-08 and I have "no" restriction at all. I'm going to call Monday morning and make an appointment for another fill on Wednesday I'm very disappointed and disgusted.
  8. I just had my first fill yesterday and was told to take only liquids for 48 hours and then start foods. They told me if I was feeling no restriction after a week to call and make an appointment for another fill.
  9. I had my first fill today. I lost 20 pounds prior to surgery and gained 2 pounds in the four weeks after surgery. They told me to stay on liquids for 48 hours. I did not feel anything when my Dr. did the fill, are you suppose to feel something?
  10. Hi: My band date is 12/19/07, Im getting my first fill tomorrow. I know I am eating more than I should. Can someone tell me how to put that "tickerfactory" scale on my site? Thanks
  11. I just love this website. Everyone is so honest and I can relate to so many of the issues. I was banded 12-19-07 and am going for my first fill tomorrow. I'm disgusted because I know I have gained weight. I was on a liquid diet for three weeks before the surgery and had no diet coke. A week after the surgery I'm drinking it like crazy again. I do agree it makes me want more to eat and drink. Can someone tell me how you put that "Ticker Factory" weight tracker on your site? Thanks
  12. Hi: I had Lapband surgery 12-19-07 and am going for my 1st fill tomorrow, 1/16/08. I'm hoping to get some kind of restriction from this because I have NONE now and am getting very discouraged. I know I have probably gained about 2 lbs. I know I'm eating to much. I'm still hoping for restriction although alot that I read says it takes a couple fills before you can "feel" the difference. Thanks:rolleyes:
  13. Hi, I had surgery on 12/19/07. The day of surgery was ok, the following day was very hard, not actual pain but alot of discomfort, soreness and a hard time getting up and down and sleeping. At this point I was second guessing my decision and thinking what did i get myself into. Dont freak out... the following day I was MUCH MUCH better. Today its 4 days and I feel great. Good Luck with your surgery, God Bless
