  5. 2008 bandsters out there!? Feb 2008 and still going!!!
  6. Do we have access to our old tickets and posts? I'm ten years out and can't remember exact date. Still down 100 pounds!!
  7. Wow! Everyones's done sooo well! Congratulations all! I haven't done too much in the last year. I probably would have been even bigger had I not been banded. it definitley is part of me now and I have adapted. Still have occasional bad habits, and go off the eating wagon. I am debating on a fill as I have been the same for several mos, but I dont know if i am ready to just do liquids and softs for a while .Help! Any idea??
  8. Isn't it amazing how stress during a meal, even in the pm can just shut down the food comsumption dead in its tracks?I went to eat out the otherday with a brother and sister n law and they created such a stressful eating environment when you are already concentrating on eating, that my band shut down to a screeching halt. I was sooo hungry but I couldn't eat. I ended up taking my food home.
  9. Tais, Were you not keeping anything down?
  10. Wow! It is a great thread. It was good to hear from all of you. Did any one every have a problem with sensitivity to the first solids of the day?? Sliming ? Nausea?
  11. I am up for it too!! I will cut out night time snacking. Eating at night sooo much easier. I will cut out carbs and exercise more.Thank you for the new incentive
  12. Wow! I love all your stories and you all look great. My husband was just banded 2 weeks ago after backing out last year and I am sooo proud of him. Today is actually my bandversary!!! I don't regret it for one moment. Although, ironically I havent had a fill since October and this week I have been ravenous.Obviously I am due for a fill. I love our NSV. I put on clothes without looking behind me in the mirror and it is not a three hour ordeal. It took me five years to wear my wedding bands again and they are now loose. I don't think twice about walking by someone in a tight aisle.I have extra room in my seat at the movies. I've been told I look many years younger.I live a healthier active lifestyle for myself and can keep up with my children. I am so much happier and it is reflected in my work, home life and my relationship with my husband.I don't think about food every minute of the day.I eat healthy foods and even indulge once in a while, but still maintaining full control. I love feeling satiety and fullness. Two things I never experienced before.(only feeling stuffed to feel full) I never regret my decision for one minute and can't believe the person I have become is actually me. It is still catching up mentally.Thank you all for your encouraging stories.Be well
  13. Liquid tylenol did nothing for me postop. My doctor recommended Advil or motrin liquid, but sparingly only when absolutely necessary. I actually discovered Motrin grape chewable tablets which I like better. Again, even now I rarely take it unless I have to Good luck
  14. OMG!!! I love my popcorn. Just eat it slowly and chew well.
  15. HAng in there. We all went through some of those feelings post op.Good luck to you. The incision pain will improve each day.Watch to control your gas and do not put too much pressure on the incisions or port site. At about two weeks you will physically feel better. Your brain hunger will feel better whenyou start eating food. It will come .It just takes time. It will be the best thing you have ever done.My surgeon is now lap banding over failed bypasses. Take care
  16. Jaime, Do you have to do anything special now that you are pregnant with the band?
  17. Wow Karen!! Great loss!! Congratulations. Keep up your success and great adice to all of us here on the boards.
  18. Thank you so much Terri! I will read the sites on ps.
