  1. Your surgeon or PCP can order that esophagus test called an EGD.
  2. Whst is Onederland? Done 100 lbs?
  3. Congrats!!!????????????????????
  4. . I love my Dr! Dr Adam Smith with Fort Worth lap band. He did sleeve on me and takes carecredit. FYI DR. Kim's practice has a 10million dollar law suit against them. You can google. It wasn't dr Kim directly but an associate Dr. that was involved but it is pretty awful case.I Googled and saw that. Dun-dun-dunnnnnnn! So sad for that man. They stated it was not Dr. Kim but another doctor as you mentioned. Sad case indeed.
  5. I have a feeling that he is who I will go with. Especially since Deb has already consulted and liked him right away. I'll be in Dallas next week!
  6. So glad to hear that you are doing well so far! Keep us updated.
  7. I had implants pre-sleeve. The nice thing is that my boobs haven't shrunk visibly at all. In fact they look bigger now in relation to the rest of my body. The bad news is, my left implant has now become malpositioned due to the loss of real breast tissue above it and I will likely want a revision. Though I'm going to wait until I'm done losing for that. It's not really that noticeable. I notice it, but even my husband didn't notice it until I pointed it out to him. I was thin when I got my boobs. I pray they still look good when I drop these lbs.
  8. I don't know if I have a hernia or not. But I can't afford $15,000 right now. $3-5,000 is doable. I pray something works out for me.
  9. I'll be using my care credit. I have some appointments in the Dallas area next month. Drs. Kim, Nicholson (Carlton), and one other. My friend Deb is there and we want to try to do it together. I hope one of them can do the "making surgery affordable" plan since I'm self pay. Crossing my fingers, eyes, and toes!
  10. I've read some great things about both Drs. Nicholson and Carlton. I'll be in Dallas for an appointment with Dr. Carlton next month.
  11. I hope to be sleeved soon. I told my husband, siblings, and my mom. No one else. No friends. No co-workers. I wish I had not told my mom because she runs her mouth without realizing it. Ugh! I'm private like that.
  12. I wonder what happens if you have implants pre-sleeve?
  13. Seems like Dr. Ortiz is the man! I may use him if I have to go the TJ route. Best wishes to all!
  14. I look forward to feeling pretty again. I have been thin all of my life. My emotional eating over the past 4 years has really packed on the lbs. I hope to get into my bikinis once again and to feel better health wise.
  15. My goal is 90 lbs if I ever get sleeved! That's lbs to lose, not my goal weight.
  16. Oh I'm not giving up. I will contact them. Thanks for the support!
  17. My BMI is 36 with a goal weight of 120. I hope to be sleeved by fall. Searching surgeons and self pay options now.
  18. I'm definitely not trying to gain. I'm on a low carb diet now. I'm looking into self pay options and two other doctors. Contact Lindstrom Obesity Advocacy. You can google them for contact information. Very reasonable rates for the advice and work they do. You need an advocate and they experience!! I will look them up. Thanks!
  19. Some people are just uncouth. I would have been so unbothered. It's your life honey.
  20. Praying for you and your situation. No judgements here.
