  1. My sister is getting married in May and my surgery is September 10th. She is so excited about me having the surgery and going shopping with me for something for her wedding. Also, when we go to my family's beach house there are a lot of steps going down the cliff to the beach and the last time I went down I almost didn't make it back up. I have a 13 year old daughter who always wants me to go with her but I make excuses. So I am seriously excited about being able to enjoy the beach with her again.
  2. I told a couple of close friends and my family and asked them not to tell anyone. I'm not ashamed of having the surgery but I want to control how others find out.
  3. I LOVE Scudders. I have never tried the PB2... How exactly do you use it and is it better to eat after the surgery than regular peanut butter?
  4. Mine is scheduled for September 10th!! I am so excited!!
  5. It only took 2 weeks for my insurance to approve my surgery. I have Capital Health Plan in Florida.
  6. Hey all! I'm a 45 year old mom of two girls and have been struggling with my weight since my first child was born 24 years ago. It's been a long, depressing journey with me trying everything I could get my hands on to lose weight. I would lose and gain, lose and gain. I felt like a yoyo. A fat one! A family member had sleeve surgery with amazing results and I knew then that my yoyo dieting days were over. I went to a seminar, met with the surgeon, jumped through all of the hoops that my insurance required and FINALLY got the phone call yesterday that my surgery was approved!!! September 10th can't come fast enough!!
