I was taken off blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes and fluid medications the morning of surgery and have not been on them since under the watch of my surgeon. I was sleeved May 15th, 2015. Without the medication, my glucose levels are the lowest they have been even while I was on medication. Good luck and I wish you much success. God bless.
Which hospital is ur surgery at? I can say that he definitely knows his stuff. My pain was that of gas which was remedied by walking, I had no problem wi th the incisions or drain removal. U are in great hands and God is definitely with u and ur surgical team! Are you having to do the presurgery diet?
Everyone's recovery is different but I took 3 weeks off and it's proven to be enough time. I'm going into my 3rd week off starting this Monday. I'm using this as a week to get more mentally ready for work than anything. 4wks off is going to be perfect for you. Try to get as much rest as possible as your journey continues
Good morning, I had my vsg and hernia repair May 15(2015). I had 4 incisions and a 5th for the drainage tube. My recovery is going well and the reflux that felt like a heart attack b4 surgery is gone. All the best.
Hello. I had my vsg on the 15th of May and had the most horrible gas pain. At that particular time the only thing that helped relieve it was to walk the hospital corridors. I tried gas x strip after being home. They help a small amount but walking is still what I've found most helpful even now. God bless and much success on your journey.
