  1. Cheese is OK and i don't eat a lot of lunch meats because they are just to salty for my tastes . Only since surgery by the way everything tastes salter. Not all bad i guess Cottage cheese is good for of protein too right?
  2. I need some help to get back on track i am doing something wrong. I am not gaining weight but i haven't lost either for 2 months and i have another 50 lbs to loose
  3. I probably haven't been eating enough regular foods i suppose. I don't eat breads and no potatoes . I only eat what i know i am supposed to. Stress is probably getting me down on this next surgery ( nerves). So I am not hungry at all. I have been drinking lots of water last couple days and cottage cheese. I don't like the feeling when I eat meat unless it is burger . That is easier to eat and fish , chicken is ok.just don't eat much of it
  4. Well the exercise has been tough because I have had both knees replaced since my sleeve surgery and I have a blown disk in my back that is getting fused on Feb 16th. So no I haven't had the exercise plan I want . And yes I am tracking my protein. About 70 to 80 a day. And lots of water but I believe it has been less lately. About 64 Oz a day in water I like my fruits and veggies . And yes I take my vitamins
  5. I have stalled out again I have been at the same weight now for 2 months . It is Strange I eat everything right. We'll I do now I can say at Christmas I tried things a little bit and it only made me sick but. One piece of peanut butter fudge sure tasted rich and good but I was sick almost within 20 minutes of eating it . So it didn't happen again lol. I can eat about the amount of 2 boiled eggs now . So I really don't over eat . I get a really uncomfortable feeling when I over eat so I don't do that either . I feel like going back to my liquid diet plan . Because it was such a comfortable feeling when eating liquid soup. I can cook on the BBQ for everyone and just the smell is satisfying to me . I still am at the point we're I am not hungry I have to force myself to eat something . I like protein shakes and cottage cheese is easy to take in . Is all this normal with everyone else. My surgery was may 11th of last year
  6. Well I gained 4 lbs over the holidays and it is depressing but I know why because of all the little pieces of goodies I tried . I suffered for every piece I ate too . They were not kidding when they said dumping syndrome lol. I need to get back on my program wow . But the real reason I am on here is to wish everyone a happy new year
  7. Hi everyone hope you all a great Christmas day . Wish you all a happy new year
  8. And i only say this as i have a friend that couldn't understand why she was gaining weight and she wasn't eating alot but it was what she was eating . Thus she changed her habits . And is now losing again
  9. Yup even if it's only a lb lost or at a stall just relax and don't stress this works if you do what you are supposed to. If it doesn't every person knows what they put into their system. So they only should hold themselves accountable for what goes in beaa use if it is what they are supposed to be eating it will work and yes you will have stall moments in this your system has alot to change and adapt to
  10. I have just stayed on my bariatric plan as of yet to change it . I do cheat once in awhile I eat a piece of the goodies made for Christmas. But I am very careful with that because I get dumping syndrome fast. If I crave anything I just eat cottage cheese and it goes away or some fruits. And I haven't been able to work out like I need because of the total knee replacement's. But I am getting more active everyday. Loving life and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year
  11. Congratulations. I have a few months to go yet to get at a year . I am sure I will hit my goal
  12. By the way thank you Jamie and the same to you on your accomplishments. You have came along way too . I have a small rd to go up yet but I can see the reward at the end lol
  13. That is so true it is all about what and how you feel . The scale is the smallest accomplishment in this road to success. It is looking in the mirror and saying dang you look good lol. The clothes you fit into and the other folks that see the happiness in your face and spirit.
  14. Lol it is all great and it is way easier than everyone could tell you. I believe in my heart that how you feel about yourself is how far you will get in this. What i mean by that is if you are willing to do this . You are going to succeed. Those who don'tare just giving up on tthemselves. Your body will actually climate to the colder weather lol. You will do awsome cherri. Just put yourself in a positive state of mind . The lbs will just fall off
  15. Lol this is warm weather really . I work in the oilfields and it is cold in North Dakota it was about -50 last year over there . I come home to warm up . Yes it is something to look forward to. Just remember this is only a tool to help you and it works great . But it isn't easy to change your life styles and get others to understand. They think you are taking the easy way out . Nothing easy about this is there . You will love the results . Surgery is the first big step to success.
  16. Well cherri if you need an uplift or to talk before or after surgery just stay in touch i will be here to help. Ok we are all good sport team here . These people on this sight have helped me alot and I am willing to pay it forward . Dr valentine is very good and so is his PA Annie Campbell. Merry Christmas Cherri
  17. Oh i thought you had the surgery already . I am sorry . It is worth it I'm telling you we all have a time when we stall but i kept losing in inches and didn't even realize it other people did . My cousin asked where the other half of me went lol. Didn't know how to take that at first. He said i looked great. That felt good but strange lol coming from a guy .
  18. Ya you are doing great . I would like to eat the good stuff but i don't miss it at this point . At thanksgiving i did have a taste of everything but mostly turkey . I was too full to eat everything. But i enjoyed what i ate and was very satisfied. I am so looking forward to losing this last 50lbs. Excitement. And the clothes i have to give away leaves me with very little that fits me anymore i had cloths i hadn't put on for ten years . They were boxed up. And they fit actually too big lol it was great
  19. Congratulations i am now under 300 too i am 268lbs. I have lost a total of 180 lbs.It is my skin i need to get rid of now. And another 50 lbs to go
  20. I stalled for about month.then I just started losing again and I did gain when I looked at the pumpkin pie and I ate one piece of peanut butter fudge and that was a big mistake . Wow the sugar and dumping syndrome. That won't happen again plus it just didn't taste as good as I thought it would . I will stick to cottage cheese lol
  21. Just wondering how everyone is doing . I have been out of these posts for a few months and didn't know why but I hope all are doing great . I hope I can help someone else along and share my experience. For one thing it has been great and this is the best change in my life i have ever accomplished. I went to a restaurant with my family the other day and sitting at a booth was not happening because I couldn't fit unless they have chairs. Anyway I sat at a booth with the family and I had 6 inches to spare . Talk about a smile lol. I was proud to walk my daughter down the isle in September and that was 40 lbs ago. Thanks to all for their support this is such a great group of people.
  22. I have lost a total of 96 lbs since may and 2 new knees. I was in another stall about the last 3 weeks and now the weight is coming off again and i have dropped 14 sizes in pants since i started my weight loss program and 10 sizes since may 11th my surgery date. I have alot of loose skin.
  23. So how are you doing after your surgery cherri I hope the weight i have lost is on trackl
  24. Hi this post just went through . I have lost 96 lbs as of last week. Both knees have been replaced . I am doing well but I get light headed alot and feel like I don't get enough food still . I haven't been able to eat more than about 4 tablespoons of food at a meal and I am very full . I am content afterwards. But it doesn't last long. I eat alot of cottage cheese to get my proteins and protein shakes and lots of water. Wish the skin would disappear lol. I started this weight loss thing at 448 lbs and I am 268lbs now . 50 more lbs and I will be at the weight I was at as a junior in high school. I have dropped 14 sizes in pants
  25. I am 8 months out and I am 50 lbs away from my goal weight . I was 448 lbs when I started losing weight then I had a gastric sleeve at 360 lbs. I had lost about 45 lbs before I had to have my left knee replaced and after surgery I had gained about 28 lbs ? What was all that about that steel doesn't weigh that much . So then I lost that weight and lots of sizes in pants.then my right knee was replaced 8 weeks after that and I gained another 22 lbs during my stay in the hospital. I couldn't eat anything lots of protein shakes. I understand it was fluid retention after that but it took forever to shed it because my legs keep swelling up when I walk too much. I am now at 275 lbs after all this. So 50 more lbs and I will be at the weight I was at when I was a junior in high school. I have stalled at my weight loss for the last 2 weeks . I feel I have something to do with that because I have had a bit or 2 of potatoes ( my stomach still isn't very big about the size of a boiled egg and a half) I have cheated and had a piece of peanut butter fudge but only one because I got very sick because my system didn't like the sugar. You all know what happens with that issue lol . Dumping syndrome. So basically I can't get active the way I should because of my knee surgeries. Do to much and the get inflamed. I feel I need to go back to my bariatric liquid diet after surgery. My weight goes from 20 lbs back down to 275 lbs . I really don't eat the wrong things normally. I eat what is made for the family if it is breaded I take it off . I can't over eat at all my stomach won't allow it. What I am asking for is any advise on this .
