This is my 2 month of supervised diet , I have 4 months left to go too! I have all my other appointments this month. Hoping it will speed up the process, I feel like I been doing this forever. Maybe we can keep each other encourage along the way. Good luck with quitting cigarettes and this new journey!

I need help and ideas on what to eat?? Tomorrow will be my second out six nutrition class and I am already going crazy on what to eat.. I received paperwork listed with things I can have , but I can't buy them right now. For the past month I have been eating nothing but chicken, fish, oatmeal, boiled eggs, and light ant fit Greek yogurt. I find myself getting bored eating the same things over and over again. Oh I have had salad and salmon too! I lost 6lbs doing what I am doing and happy with the results, just that if I eat chicken for lunch I don't want it for dinner! My plan allows me to eat 3 out 5 food categories, with no fruit it carbs after lunch or dinner. I just have to make sure I am eating my Protein. I need some food ideas so can you please post me some good things to try other than the usual or a way I can be creative with what I eat. I really really want this to work . Thanks to everyone in advance ! I feel like a lost puppy.

Hello Everyone, I am so excited to get started! I have been on the site for a few weeks, but first time posting. My HW 209lbs when I went to for my first consult appt, and today I went to my initial assessment appointment today. I met with the nurse and the NUT and weighted in at 207lbs. I am 5'1 in height. I hoping I can have the surgery by December, my last NUT visit is in November and everything else should be done by then. I love this site, I had no question to ask The surgeon up until I joined this forum. Today I was able to put them questions to work and I was very impressed with what I had learned. Thank you everyone for all the information I am learning about my new journey. Good to everyone and I look forward to being a part of this WLS community ???? ! By the way is there anyone who had there procedure done in Delaware?, if so where and who was your surgeon?.

@@sleever314 I am doing good and you? I think it's crazy to have to wait that long.. I did my consultation on may 7th and had to wait until June 10th just to do the initial intake. . It seem like I been waiting forever to get started.

I am just started the process to get sleeve , I haven't said anything to anyone but my work family and a few friends. The doctor I work for actually said the same thing to me, her words was it wasn't safe to have WLS and she said to me "why don't you go get on the a treadmill, I bet you haven't done that." I was floored by her words, I told her you don't know my story to say that to me, by the time I was done with her all she could do was apologize and walk away.. People like that is the main reason why I rather not say anything to anyone. Needless to say don't let anyone make you feel like you are making the wrong decision. You have to do what's best for you and not for them. Good luck with your new journey !!!

Hello I am just getting started, I will have my initial intake on June 10th and I am very excited. I am having my surgery done by Dr. Barnett at surgical associates. Is there anyone here you had him?
