Hi All- Any experiences with Mex Baratric Cntr? I feel like I've read many good things about dr. Ponce de leon. Any experience with Dr. Altamirano? My goal is to book something within the next seven (7) days. Anyone willing to talk with me over the phone this weekend about their experience in Mexico or the experience with the sleeve in general? I'm suddenly worried that I will be the person who can't eat for the rest of my life. I know that's unreasonable. Just having a high anxiety day. Thanks!!! Jaclyn

For those who have had surgery in Mexico, how have you handled care once you're home? Anyone have any problems in this area? Thanks in advance for any information!!

So glad to see this thread. Live in Norwalk. My insurance doesn't cover wls so I have been researching Mexico as an option for about 3 months. I am ready to book and am looking to August. Anyone know of any support groups in the area? I am worried about having a network post-surgery.

I am considering gastric sleeve, my insurance won't cover it, and I am very close to making arrangements for doing this in Mexico-- aiming for August 2015. I've done lots of internet research but, worry that some of what I read is written, or sponsored, by the surgeon. Any thoughts as to how to get some objective information? Should they be certified by, or a member of a certain organization? I am also worried about after care, i.e. if I have a leak afterwards are we going to loose our house from the resulting medical bills, states side? I really want to do this. I just want to be cautious and make the most informed choice. Any thoughts or advice is welcome!! I am considering Dr. Fernando Garcia in Tijuana. Thanks in advance for any help!
