I have been struggling as well. Surgery on March 30, 3015 and in 6 1/2 months I'm down 53 lbs but the bulk of it was in the first 3-4 months. I have had a dramatic slow down the last 2 months with only a few pounds. I have increased my walking, tracking my food and although I know "stalls" can be expected how long to they typically last? I have at least another 50 to go.
I think it stems from our past "failures" that we carry in our head. I go through it was well, this feeling that I'm waiting for the shoe to drop......like I won't succeed. I just keep reminding myself that I'm doing the right things, following the program and I feel better. Feeling good is my motivation.
Yes, I experienced it more so in the first couple of months with high sugar or high fat foods. Still can't tolerate drinkable yogurt (high protein but high sugar). It has faded a bit for me though. Or maybe I'm just better at avoiding triggers.
I'm 6 weeks post op and this week has been the worst. Diarrhea with most meals, only protein, and I actually vomited about an hour after eating very soft protein. I feel like I get dumping but I thought that was not supposed to happen with the sleeve. Before this week I felt great and was tolerating my protein fine.
