  2. I had gastric sleeve 1 1/2 weeks ago. I am currently on full liquids and am having a hard time taking sips of anything including clear liquids. It hurts Instantly almost like gas pains, and within secs i am belching. Is there anything i can do to change this....i wanna be able to drink without difficulty. I also had a hernia repair at the same time as the sleeve. I am on omeprazole and carafate
  3. Im currently on my full liquid portion of my diet. Im getting to the point where the liquids are getting old and im ready for soft food. Any ideas how to keep my mind from wondering or is it natural to feel this way?
  4. Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement. Today has been interesting, really fighting with my head today to tell me I am not hungry. I have been able to consume all of my liquids with no problems. I know that days 2 and 3 will be the worst so I am preparing. Im looking forward to hear everyone's stories and keeping myself on track -M

  12. I am currently at my highest weight of 415#. I have never been more scared in my life. I have finally had a financial opportunity to have gastric sleeve and could not be more excited about it. I'm 2 weeks away of my life forever being changed. Today I started my pre-op liquid diet. I'm nervous about it but know that I need to do it to better my health. I'm only 35 years old, and in the past year have developed multiple health issues. I am type 2 diabetic, I have hypothyroidism, sleep apnea, high cholesterol, infertility and recently diagnosed with lymphedema due to my weight gain. I want all of these things to go away. I feel like I am at a really good place in my life to start these changes. My husband and I want to have a baby, you can't have a healthy pregnancy when you are this overweight. I'm hoping that others will hear my story and know that you are not alone, you just have to be willing to let others in. Today is day #1 of my liquid diet. Any recommendations? ways to keep in interesting without getting bored eating the same things everyday? -M
