I haven't had any complications. I am 8 1/2 months out. I only have dumped a couple of times, and that was with eggs and a full quest bar. I haven't tried sugar or high fat foods and don't plan on it. Best decision ever!
That's awesome @@changingme5! You won't regret it. I plan on being at the support meeting in June. If you have questions our want to chat, let me know.
One thing I will say about this practice that is interesting, is that there is no pre surgical diet. You will see on here that alot of people and also Sentara does a liquid diet prior to surgery. Dr Spencer told me that unless they have to, to help with surgery, you won't need to do it.
How long before you complete your requirements?
I think it is different for everyone, but the practice and surgeons are great. Everyone is very supportive and will answer any questions you have. It is life changing and I have no regrets!
I had surgery in November. I am 6 months out TOMORROW! Total lost 69 pounds. I had bypass, which I was a little concerned about, but have had no complications.
I have not veered from the menus they gave us and have averaged 7-10lbs a month lost.
Are you having sleeve or bypass?
Hi there,
I go to the same practice and have Dr. Spencer. I absolutely LOVE him and the practice group. The process from beginning to end was very smooth and I had no problem getting approved. Just follow their directives and you will be great. I have been to support groups where Dr. Moore presented too....
Are you just starting out?
