8 weeks since surgery and I think I am flunking this test!
I do not have a NUT. I have a whole ton of backstop with that on my other thread. Pretty much the doc has been useless post surgery. I need to find one I think. I was able to drink half of a bottle of water in 2 hours or so 2 days after surgery. However, I think I overestimated the calories because looking at my fitnesspal they are closer to 900 but still.

Ok. WTF am I doing wrong?
So, I am 226-229 so about 69 grams is goal. That seems very doable compared to 90! Thanks for the tip!!

Ok. WTF am I doing wrong?
Actually it was one of his patients who told me to come here. She said that this place helped her so much more than that one. So, I am here with you wonderful people and I am thrilled I am!!!

Ok. WTF am I doing wrong?
I had sugery in Mexico so I doubt anything can be done. I felt bad for her and it pissed me off too. Her reaction was "I don't know what to say to such a response on such a public forum. " I wanted to say...don't respond you have already shown so much more class than he has that a response is totally unnecessary. But I felt like having her know that more people saw it might be worse than the comfort provided. I did rant about this on my YouTube channel though. I would love the NUT contact (and pricing ) if you have it. I was considering going to ZOOM Care this week for heartburn and talking to them about their NUT program too. I love them for medical stuff because it is pretty much a walk in clinic. They are good $ and good service. But I am not sure what the nut cost.

Ok. WTF am I doing wrong?
He has said a lot of crap like that. He has his own forum on Facebook. The final straw for me was when a girl said....why am I still stalled. His reply was "don't worry, you will break the stall just like you broke my table from you high bmi...which I am still paying for and the hospital reminds me of everyday. " In a public post, in a public forum, for all to see. Nothing he has said to anyone so far has been helpful. So I just went off on my own. Oh heck no. What a jerk!! I can't believe you can eat a cup in one sitting. I'm almost 8 months and can only eat about 1/2 cup of food (unless it's CheezeIts...then I can eat half a box). It makes me wonder if he did your surgery right. Normally people don't work up to a cup until they are one or two years post op. I didn't have ANY post op care because I had my surgery in Mexico but I did extensive research beforehand, and I still do, to make sure I'm using my new tool to the fullest. Maybe go back to basics and focus solely on Protein and veggies. Cut any and all sugar out. Watch your carbs. Green veggies are great, eat as much as you want. I was sleeved in Mexico too. And I was able to drink half a bottle of Water in 2 hours 2 days post surgery. I said something to them and they acted like it was nothing. Well the driver acted surprised but everyone else was like..oh ok...good. water is good. I am thinking about going back to 2 shakes a day and 1 meal of meat and veggies. See if that helps start it back up again.

Ok. WTF am I doing wrong?
He has his own private forum on Facebook he wants us to use. I didn't even know about it till post surgery. He is a good surgeon but a terrible doc post surgery. He acts like everyone is a child just trying to break the rules.

I'll answer for her. Google "weight loss surgery manual" or "bariatric center of excellence manual" or something similar. You will find many surgeon's websites with info about weight loss surgery post-op nutrition, etc. hahahahahha. ..I know fir a fact I am not getting enough Water. Need to work on that.

I know no one is being judgmental. I wasn't thinking it was the. I was honestly thinking. ...so i ate 1/2 cupcake once and I gain 3 pounds? Really body? Seems like something is wrong when I have to be so much more strict post surgery or I fail instantly. Pre surgery, doing that would have broke my stall (granted, I probably would not have only eaten half...I would have had 4 and then I would have gained) I know it is all in love I am just super frustrated that it is harder than it has ever been for me. That doesn't seem right.

Ok. WTF am I doing wrong?
Unfortunately I did not have a NUT and the instructions post surgery were so inconsistent that many ppl started asking the doc. Instead of giving us correct information he just kept saying....do whatever you want...I'll resleeve you in 2 years. So I have never asked questions since.

Ok. WTF am I doing wrong?
I think I overestimated. Looking at myfitnesspal I get around 900 most days but there were 2 days last week I got 1200 It is not my everyday amount just seems like it. For the most part I eat meat and veggies and dairy. I get in about 60-90 grams of Protein. I am fully aware that cupcakes and pretzels are not a healthy option but I didn't think half of a cupcake (or even less) once in 3 months at my friends wedding would be a huge issue. Especially not a 3 pound gain issue. I managed to avoid the pretzels despite being starving for the rest of the night and pulling another 11 hour shift. I usually plan better but I thought taking less food would make me eat less. Instead I was just in pain all night. I am a little full on 1 cup of food. I am usually hungry about 3 hours later. So how can I eat less and not hurt? I had the lap band so that I would feel full with smaller amounts...instead I just got stuck. So I had the vsg so I could eat normal and feel full...and that doesn't happen. Shold I just load up on veggies? How are you guys eating 600 calories? I drink about 60-70 Oz a day. I can't stand any flavor crap in my Water but if I drink too much water in a sitting I get heartburn. So I have to really space it out I am taking 2 prilosec a day for heartburn. Someone said hunger could be heartburn.

8 weeks since surgery and I think I am flunking this test!
Omg you guys...I just posted this same freaking thing. 8 weeks...same problem. I am hungry all the time. I eat 1200 cals a day, max. Work out 3 days a week. GAINED 3 POUNDS THIS WEEK. And have not lost weight in 4. In fact in 7 weeks I have only lost weight ONCE. I am freaking out that this is it...doomed forever.

Band to sleeve in one surgery. Who's had it done that way? How long had you had your band? What was your recovery like? Any complications? Regrets?
I had my band 10 years. I am 8 weeks post op. And though losing weight has not been happening like I would like. ..I am so happy to have that thing out of me!

Band to sleeve in one procedure
I did. I had some pain that seemed a bit more than straight up vsg-ers. But I was back to work 4 days post surgery. I got stuck really really easy and would pb . I am 8 weeks out and that has just now finally calmed down.

Ok. WTF am I doing wrong?
So I am 8 weeks out. Post surgery i have lost 15 pounds. Yes..I know...that is 2 pounds a week....but 11 of it was week 1. 4 in week 4 and then NOTHING. I have been on this non stop stall and then today I am up 3 pounds. What am I doing wrong? I am hungry, a lot. Not head hunger either. Some of it might be because I work graveyard so I am tired. I work out 3 days a weeks, cardio and weights. I eat around 1200 calories a day split into 4-6 small meals. The gain is probably from someone telling me to eat more...so i did...all weekend ...all and bam...up 3 pounds (not all health food mind you. My friend got married and I split a cupcake with the bf). But I passed on everything not meat or veggies. Today I had 1/4 of a burger. 1 power crunch bar, 1 c ricotta bake with turkey and eggplant added, and 32 ounces of Water -so far. I will probably have 1 serving of pretzels before I leave work since I have 3 more hours to go and I am hungry already. Then I will go home and go to bed. Seriously. ..I am getting the same results and working just as hard as I was before surgery. So where am I ****ing up?

4 weeks post and I still PB
Thanks for your help everyone. In the last few days it is already happening less and less. I think it is just that I am swollen. I am trying to be really good and not eat too fast so that it will stop happening and reduce the swelling.

4 weeks post and I still PB
Thank you guys!!! This is happening even if I sip on milk to early in the morning. The surgeon said that I "will have residual band like effects for a while because there is so much damage". I am slowing down even more and keeping it soft. It is helping. I think PBing is keeping me swollen.

4 weeks post and I still PB
I am 4 weeks post conversion and I still have, what I like to call, a ghost band. I get stuck on food and I PB it right back up. Does that ever go away? The doc said I had a big callus around my stomach where the band was that he had to shave down and I have another on my esophagus. Part of the draw to the sleeve was no PBing...and after my band broke, I lost all restriction, and I didn't PB at all....suddenly with the surgery I do. Anyone have any insight?

Amazed at the damage the lap did...
My tube had broke and was embedded 2 inches into my intestines. I am 4 weeks post and I still hurt in my lower left side. I have a photo of all the damage done to my stomach. Calluses everywhere.

Where are the other strugglers?
I had conversion to sleeve done on 4/17 and I am 4 weeks out. I seem to be able to eat and drink far more than most other virgin sleevers. I have been stalled for 2 weeks and just now started to lose again. But in 4 weeks I have lost 12 pounds. I think there is something with the conversion that makes it so you can eat more because every conversion I have heard of has said that. I was starting to worry about it too till I found this thread. Glad I am not alone. Sorry you are struggling...if you are able to eat a lot and you are not feeling full maybe look into volumetric eating...IE you can have a lot of veggies for the same cals as a burger...or whatever.
