Hi, My name is Tenisha and I had the vsg on March 5th of this year. I've always been overweight but happy with me nonetheless. I decided to have the weight loss surgery after being diagnosed with diabetes and being placed on two blood pressure medicines! A friend of mine had the surgery a year prior and I saw her success. Going into the surgery I weighed 386lbs and now nearly eight weeks post surgery I am 349lbs. I see the weight is not dropping as fast but I'm trying to stay positive and hopeful more will fall. I'm excited to join this community and I look forward in learning and growing together. I keep telling myself that this process will be a long journey with great rewards along the way....weight loss!
