I know my surgery has had a positive affect, my husband as been using my treadmill and eating smaller portions and even drinking diet pop he has lost over 35 pds he wants to loose 15 more I am sure he will do it. I know it makes life easier for me him loosing weight with me. I didn't mention it ,he has done this of his own free will.

my biggest no no foods are Rice and bread and have thrown up quite a few times but it is my own fault my band told me to stop eating but I had to have one more bite lol. I faught the band and the band won :-). I am going to ask at the next meeting what to do, I have lost approx 50pds. I can't eat hardly anything until 5pm then I eat everything so do I get another fill? I have only gained once in 6months and that was only a pd one wk lost 1.5 the next so I am loosing what they say I should be loosing so I don't think my dr. would give me another fill anyway. Evenings are still a fight everynight of my life.

I am really tight until about 4-5 p.m at night so I usually just have a slimfast for breakfast and lunch then I eat my supper and I am as loose as can be. it is so weird how tight i am in the a.m and loose I am in the p.m .

I had my surgery done in Galesburg, we have some ppl in support group who went to Peoria and had there surgery b/f it was offered here in town, they said there is alot of hidden charges or up front charges not covered by insurance in Peoria, has far as the surgery went they said they did a good job but it would of been a lot cheaper if it was offered at the time in Galesburg.

I had someone call me SLIM today at work, I looked around and said"you talking to me" I LOL

Congrads on the weight loss!!!! Yes the fills are a blessing.

I was wondering if anyone else had this problem ,my gas is terrible since my surgery in Dec. 07. Thank God I work in a factory where it is very loud, mine are not so much the smell just the noise lmao. Thought I would share that with all :-)

I am down 38.5 pds almost 4months post op. The only problem I have is I still don't have the energy. In support group this guy said "oh I have all the energy that I have never had before" I wanted to vomitt lol I am still waiting for that. yes I do exercise at least 4-5 days a wk and take my vitamins ect. so i guess I will just have to be patient.Any one else feel the same?

I felt the exact same way Watcher, I didn't have any beer for almost 2 months ,wasn't has hard as I thought it would be, but now I have no problem drinking beer even quanity doesn't matter, and no I don't get drunk faster(my husband was hoping I would) I try to keep it to a couple times a month just b/c of the empty calories. In fact I put of even seeing about the surgery for this reason, my surgeon just said I would have to see how I tolerated it after the surgury and I should try beer first at home just in case I would PB. So I hope this make you feel alittle better.

I am right there i started in a 22 and 2x top I bought a 16 pant and a xl top 2 wks ago and I wore a 15 jean last night and they weren't even stretch jeans I was so excited. Isn't is wonderful everyone. I love my Band best thing I ever done for myself.

I have had 3 fills I think he only put in .5 in firt 2 fills then I told him to be aggresive and he put in 1.5 I didn't have any difference until this past wk I was at a stand still for about 3wks, I started working out with weights and walking more on my treadmill I have went from a 16 being just about right to being very loose and I tried on a pair of 14 and I could get them on buttoned and everything whoo whoo. I am having some PB'ing though lately I had a 1.5 hr. horror story thursday at work, I was about to call the dr. it hurt so bad when I finially got it up. I couldn't eat anything that night either.Not able to eat much since but that is ok, weight is finiallly coming off again so hopefully I am at my sweet spot for a while anyway.

I'm with you, those pics freak me out ,the long term outlook is awesome, but I hate pain very low tolerence so I am not sure if I will either. But I give snaps to the ppl who go thru with it kind of the cherry on top of the cake.

I was just wondering I have been walking on the treadmill approx. 45 mins a day and working out with weights 3-4 days a week about 45 mins also. Just looking for more ideals. Thanks

I have a wedding and a ann. party the same day in a few wks so I had to buy a new dress outfit, I went into Bergners and had to ask the sales lady the difference b/w plus size and misses lmao guess what I am a misses now whoooo whoooo so much more to choose from I spent most of the day trying on different styles of clothes it was a awesome feeling. Can't wait to see everyone wedding is a friend and anniversary is family but I live 1.5 hrs a way so most of these ppl at both places haven't seen me lately since the surgery in Dec.

Today I had 3 pieces of turkey bacon(first time i tried it) I just nooked it ,it was very good and didn't taste much different then pork bacon to me :-). I made a pork roast in the crock pot for lunch, everyone has cabin fever so we took the kids and drove about 35 mins away and watched the eagles at a lock and damn and took some pics of the family. We came home and I walked 46 mins on the treadmill ,then cooked burgers on the george foreman and had some cottage cheese and sf jello.Pretty good day I think. Just wish I felt like I had restriction ,I am also one of those ppl or can eat as much as I will allow myself to and still be hungry b/w meals. Dr. doesn't want to do another fill yet :-(.

I had a pretty usual day at work today, but I got on the gym wagon tonight and went then I came home and walked 45 mins on my treadmill. I am also happpy to say my husband has decided to diet he also walked 2x today on the treadmill and went and bought some sprite zero(giving up his pepsi)and some oranges so it will make it a little easier on me. I am a little nerevous I have to work 8-8 tomorrow when I work those hrs. I want to eat all day long so it is going to be a challenage but I am up for it. Won't be able to go to the gym though they will be closed when I get off of work but am going to try and walk on the treadmill.

WEll I did it I went for my orientation last night and I went to night for my first work out, I went from 6-7pm and I loved it only 2 other ppl there so all the equipment you didn't have to fight over or "wait" for I mean lol. then when I got done there I came home and walked 45 mins on my treadmill. In case anyone is interested the trainer yesterday told me it is better to walk slower if you have to but work up to 45 mins no matter what speed b/c he said when you walk 45 mins your body keeps burning calories even after you stop walking. I was walking a 20 min mile but slowed it done just a very little and did 45 min tonight. I just thought it was interesting and very helpful information.

I big goal it to loose 20 more pds pounds by the end of may my son graduates high school. I bought a treadmill and I go tomorrow nt to a wellness center for a meeting with something like a trainer to get me started was suppose to go last tues. but trainer had the flu.So wish me luck tomorrow :-)

I had a good one tonight I thought I would start to tan tonight so I went and I use to hate the regular beds b/c the top hit my stomach and I barely fit width wise BUT tonight I had room to spare I thought the lid wasn't shut tight ,so I tried to close it then I realized WOW I had lost that much weight and had room to spare wideth wise also so that made me feel great.

I had my surgery in Galesburg they just started doing it here in town in June 07 I think it was.My dr. did his inturnship at Peoria though. I have had 3 fills trying to decide to get another one or not my free fills run out in about 16 days I have 3cc in a 10 cc band right now. My acid reflux was terrible for about 2 wks after my last fill of 1.5cc so trying to get it under control again but no real complications:-) I am down to a size 16 jean from a 24 my top half isn't coming off that fast still wearing my 2x tops for the most part don't like my flap blulging out lol. I wrote your name down next time I know I am coming to Peoria I will PM you if that is ok with you.

one of my bills was 2071$ insurance paid 1576.62 and a 287.28 discount which I got a bill for 207.10 for out of pocket. anesthesia was 1360$ ins. paid 901 and discount of 300$ left me 159$ I have a few other for pre op consult., labs ect. but I am still waiting on the big on I have a break down of 38,043.15 waiting on finial tally of that I have a 2k out of pocket max. so I most I should have to pay is around 600 keeping my fingers crossed. But I agree I about crapped when I got this bill , no wonder ppl go to mexico if they don't have insurance it is a rip off I was under only about 40mins, never even got put in a room just stayed in pre/post op area the whole time I was at the hospital left the same day. I figured all the bill total was approx. 43k us dollars

I am feeling the same as you caligal I am at 198.5 as of about 5 mins. ago. I started the journy at 226 in Dec. I am debating another fill. What size is your band and much fill do you have? I have a 10cc band with 3cc in I believe.

I am in galesburg I go to peoria at least once a month it seems like. I was banded 12/19/07. I just turned 40 last wk so around the same age. Oh and good luck Carol I sure you will do just fine.
