March 2015 sleeve have lost 30 pounds

I had my surgery 3/25 and I am down 32 pounds and I felt the same as you that the weight is coming off too slow and was comparing myself to others and was not enjoying every pound that I was losing. I would try water aerobics you would love it. I have lost inches big time and can fit in pants that I could NOT even get up my legs. So it will come off, I have had a few stalls where the scale have NOT moved at all but it will start to move again but for you water may work.

    Pro's & Con's of gastric sleeve surgery?

I aslo has a revision from band to sleeve. I wish I could have had it done all at once but I had the band removed in January (slipped after pregnancy) so much scar tissue had to do two surgeries. I can say I loved my band, I lost 100 pounds from that band but once it slipped that was it for me. I was sleeved 3/25 and I am down 30lbs. NOW it seems to me I lost weight faster with the band but that may just be in my mind. I am only 9 weeks out and I still have a long way to go. I had my band since 2008 and it did me well. So far I like the sleeve, it's new so I have nothing bad to say about it YET.
  3. I want to see who else had surgery on the same day so we can keep and touch and see how each other is doing. So far I guess I am doing okay, I have lost 18 pounds my first month. I have joined the gym and really want to get this ball rolling. I start eating my lifetime foods on May 6th and I can't wait.
  4. As I sit back and look at my progress sometimes I am happy and sometimes I am like REALLY. I know I am not the only one who has had some different expectations of this surgery now that you have it. I knew this was no gastric bypass BUT SOMETIMES I think I should have better results when you can't eat but a few spoonfuls of anything. I know I will get to my goal eventually but I am just hoping it doesn't take forever to get there. I didn't think it would be this hard to lose a dam pound with half a stomach. I know there are others who have had this surgery thinking the same thing.
  5. How many of you thought okay I am going to have this surgery and they are going to cut most of my stomach off and the weight will just drop off. Now I knew this surgery was different from the bypass but in know way did I think I would have to work so hard to loose a pound when I can't even eat but a few spoonfuls of anything. Now I am find with my slow progress BUT sometimes I sit back and say I did think this would be a little easier. Anyone else have those thoughts, I know dam well I am not the only one who is thinking this.
  6. @@crayon67 40 pounds ARE YOU SERIUOS, that is so good. I need to know your secret I am at 8 weeks 26 ponds WTH. lol Am I doing something wrong or is it just slow for me.
  7. @@crayon67, we are basically going the same pace let's both stay on track and keep in touch.
  8. @, I actually have this post in the Sleeve forums I posted it here by mistake. But girl I am like REALLY now I know the weight will come off but dang it is hard when you read other post. I need to stay off of here but I is hard when you get such good advise. When did you have your surgery and what was your starting weight?
  9. I am 6 weeks out and I am on to my lifetime eating and I am just curious how many calories should we maintain a day for a healthy weight loss.
  10. mechele8 you are doing great, keep up the great work.
  11. Hello I am sure us virgin and new sleevers would love to know how long did it take for you to reach your goals. I was sleeved 3/25 down 21 but it seems my inches are coming off, the weight is slow BUT THAT IS OKAY. I know I have a lifetime to work this small stomach but I was just curious for those who have met their goal how long did it take?
  12. @@Babbs one more question besides protein shakes how else were you getting your protein? I am starting to gag now from them shakes from drinking them so much. I need something else. I do use flavor less protein powder but that is getting old too.
  13. I am so grateful for this site, such great information.
  14. @@Babbs I think I am going to take a break from the sake for 1 month. I go on a follow up next Thursday after that day I will not get on the scale for 30 days. I think me looking at that thing is driving me crazy.
  15. You know I really love the inches to fall off eventually BUT since I am so early in the game I want the weight to come off. I know I will drop the weight I just don't want to feel like I am slacking when you read other post and I know that I should not compare.
  16. Question, I always have lots of questions. So was your weight loss slow in the beginning like me, I think I am going on week 6.
  17. AvaFern how many pounds were you losing per week? Did you have alot of stalls along the way?

    Not losing. Not peeing

Omg I had or is having the same problem. I pee maybe twice a day and I don't know what. Now I know for a fact I am NOT drinking enough AT ALL. Still I drank the same amount before surgery and went more. I have no clue why my body is doing this. Now I had one week of a stall but that was because I was not eating enough.
  19. I said the same thing Rhonda4524, I think it is because you are not eating enough. That is a very weird thing
