  1. ME TOO __ THERE SHOULD BE A LOW BMI GROUP ON HERE. My surgery date is 5/18 - I started at 190- I'm 184 right now. I'm 5'2", and 56 years old. I have been between 180 - 190 for 20 years.
  2. @@luvj0j0 I'm headed to Mexico on 5/18 - and the closer I get the more trepidation I feel.... excited, scared,
  3. Me too. Where you all been My surgery is scheduled for 5/18 Bmi 33, 5'2" and 189 pounds when I started my self imposed pre op of low carb high Protein down to 184 I've been over 180 for 20, maybe 30 years. I have no co morbities other than my knees hurt all the time. I don't want to be fat in a wheelchair, having people lift 200 pounds. Etc That said I hide in photos I have the chin hide down pat! I see myself as thinner and am shocked at what reflects back at me in the mirror. My hubby is all in. My friends I'm not telling they think I'm crazy I'm scared I'm making a permanent WRONG decision, irreversible. I'm a terrible dieter, no will power or I don't want it bad enough. I hate the gym. Went religiously for 6 months lost 2 Frerking pounds Full disclosure I'm also afraid forge attention I may get once thin. Catch 22. I don't mind it, but at 19 I had an unwanted experience and packed the pounds on to "protect" myself. Does that make sense? Now my oldest is getting married, there will be grandkids and I don't want to be OLD and FAT. SO HERE WE GO ON MONDAY. I wonder what happens if you get there and then back out. Thanks for listening. I hope I'm doing the right thing for me.
  4. Can you eat/have mints? Lifesavers? Altoids? I can't crew gum anymore because sometimes I swallowed w it and I think that will be ALL BAD! Did I read no berries, like raspberries due to the seeds?
  5. Thank you for this.... My family is busy and on the go. This was on of my big worries... fast food.. thanks for this.
  6. THAT may be one of the biggest things I'm looking forward too... I hope the girls, rib cage etc shrink enough for me to fit. All my married life -- VS came into being after I'd been married a while... Hubby walks by and says "come on try one on... " He has no idea how humiliating that statement is.. They don't make them big enough for me... so NOW.... Surgery 5/18..... I'll be so sad if I can't SHOP THERE.....

  9. Messing around on the internet I can across a measure your body fat. According to that I'm with normal range??? High end but normal.... Haven't had surgery yet scheduled for 5/18. But Really??? Have you ever checked, what were your results.
  10. You can usually find vitamin water zero in airports or Starbucks for Tea
  11. If that is a result of surgery my husband will be THRILLED beyond believe. I better pick up some Viagra while I'm in Mexico.
  12. In in Tracy. Surgery scheduled for 5/18/15
  13. . Why not? What was your BMI? Which surgery?
  14. I'm getting super nervous - it's not like a bad hair cut - it's forever. May 18th
  15. Anyone not have gas pains post surgery?
  16. Day one surgery. Day 2 how bad? What did you feel like doing or did you sleep full time?
  17. WOW I'm so sorry you had a terrible experience. Not using Dr Almanza.. So so sorry
  18. Thanks for doing that. I know it's not super close to you. Yeah the more I read the more excited I get. I only have to do a high Protein low carb diet for next week, but I've started now.... can't you move up your surgery?
  19. I dont know what time... maybe on Tuesday - but I don't know where the recovery house is... I'll have my phone - but that probably won't work. You can find me on Facebook "susangoulding" then if I have wifi I'll have access.
  20. YEP YEP YEP - nobody's business but mine. I have told a few people. Bottom line I'm over weight - wether I have given it 100% or not to lose weight of the past 30 years... it doesn't matter. Maybe I could have worked harder, exercised more, but I'd get frustrated and quit. I cant quit this time.
  21. Thank you - looks like a broken window. LOL --- I know it won't look like the US. I don't think I'll have time to show. Day 1 arrive - surgery; Day 2 move to recovery house Day 3 final tests and home. MAYBE if I feel good enough on day .... I'm hoping to get to at least a Pharmacy
  22. Hi Diana, I'm in Peoria and just recently started my research....there are so many DRs and everyone is so happy about their selection, How does on choose, A low price is nice but I'm 61 and wonder if the rest of me is ready for what my mind is determined to do. My insurance does NOT do weight loss... They would rather pay for shots to my knees ,sleep apnea and BP medications. I'm on FB you can search for Tender2u. Diana I hear you - there were so many. A friend said - When it's right you'll know it. Here are some of the reasons I like this DR> 1) Price- but that's not the end all. 2) deposit is FULLY REFUNDABLE up until 1 week prior to surgery 3) This is a new surgery center with some experienced surgeons 4) I read DR Maytorena has been a trauma DR for the Red Cross-- don't remember where I read that. 5) I like a recovery house instead of a hospital. Hospitals tend to have sick people, bad germs.... recovery center has a nurse on site. 6) they use Johnson & Johnson titanium staples - told me 3 - 4 rows. 7) This dr has no reported incidents of patience having complications or going to hospital 8) I asked for the DR to call and he did same day. He Spoke English well ENOUGH
