  1. Tell your anesthesiologist you are nauseated after surgery and they should be able to give you medication to make sure you aren't. I had ZERO issues, despite barfing immediately upon waking up from every other surgery. Make sure they take care of you and you'll be just fine! It's a very minor surgery.
  2. Very pleased to be down to 190.9 lbs this morning. Still on clear liquids which isn't much fun, but only today and tomorrow left, and then I'll move to full liquids. Can't wait for my first protein shake!
  3. Thanks, logically I know I will lose, but it's still a bit demoralizing. I'll try not to worry about it but easier said than done. I'm still recovering and had a complication during surgery so in pain and not able to walk much or do anything really. Just reading and browsing the net. A bit boring. So of course I am obsessing! Thanks for the words of wisdom.
  4. Thanks, I feel like I never stop drinking but walking is hard for me because I had a complication during surgery with an ab muscle that wouldn't stop bleeding. Therefore that muscle is extremely painful. Walking is hard.
  5. Anyone else gain huge after surgery and spend the first week just trying to get back to where they were the day of surgery? I am 5 days post-op and still heavier by 2 pounds than I was going in for VSG.
  6. I had the VSG in Tijuana on May 16 with Dr. Salvador Ramirez. I recovered at the Vida boutique and it was all arranged through TINY (The Incredible New You). The entire experience was incredible. Nurses were fantastic, anesthesiologist was amazing, I can't say enough about the care and support I received. My only annoyance is I am 5 days post-op and am 2 pounds heavier than I was the day of surgery. I have been losing a little every day, but still it's frustrating. Anyone else GAIN weight?
  7. I had VSG on May 16, 2015. I am 5 days post-op and still weigh more than I did going into surgery. So frustrating. By the time I am on week 2 post-op, I'll be lucky if I am at my pre-surgery weight. Then it sounds like I'll get one week of losing before the 3rd week stall! UGH!!!! I know we need to be patient. I get it. But we are allowed to be annoyed! May 16 - 193.5 SURGERY DAY May 20 12:19 AM - 198.6 8:33 AM - 197 6:09 PM - 196.3 May 21 7:27 AM - 195.9 GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
  8. Hey question - why would you have a BM if on clear liquids? Or are most people not on clear liquids for a week after surgery? Also do you get a BM if you are just on liquid shakes?
  9. How are you feeling lately? I was sleeved on May 16.
  10. I was sleeved on May 16 in Tijuana. Day 2 post-op, feeling pretty good! My surgeon was Dr Ramirez.
  11. Hi there, doing this off my phone and not sure if I'm posting properly. I'm on day 2 post-op and feeling pretty good. A bit sore and tender but nothing serious. I had quite a bit of back pain last night but a Tramadol helped immensely. This morning I get my drain out then it's off to the Mariott for one more night and we fly back to Canada tomorrow. Surgery isn't fun, but I look forward to the weight loss!
  12. This pre-op diet really sucks! That's all I have to complain about right now.
  13. Hi there! Surgery is May 16 at 6 PM.
