  5. I agree. Mine is 31-32 and I'm getting it done!! It's not about being morbidly obese it's about the constant roller coaster and gaining weight so easily and the unrealistic struggle to keep any weight you can loose off!!!!! I can kill myself loose 20 lbs only to gain it back over and over! The sleeve is a new way of life a way to break this pattern! I also didn't tell anyone bc I don't want to hear about how I can just eat right and loose weight lol. People are clueless
  6. Thanks everyone!!! This is all very encouraging to me!
  7. I'm getting nervous as my date gets closer!!?? How bad was your post op pain and nausea?
  8. I know how you feel! In a addict to and worried about being hungry after! But EVERYONE says they aren't hungry for months afterwards! This is so encouraging to me!
  9. Walk walk walk keep walking I know it doesn't seem to help but it's helping!! Keep doing it it'll get better!
  10. I've chosen not to tell anyone! No one knows except my mother who is having it done the same day as me! I don't want to hear anyone's negative BS or how I don't need it etc...it's no ones business I don't think!
  11. I'm June 8th also!!! I can't wait counting the days!!! 35 days!!!!
  12. Go to buckle they will measure your waist and height and find jeans for your shape!! They are awesome they go up to like 14-16 I think. I have no bootie but look like j-lo in the jeans they put me in lol they are great! Your gonna spend 150-200 a pair sometimes but it's soooo worth it and they last for years!
  13. Lol Coleen you got this! Good luck girl stay strong!
  14. Just call it kind I see it Family should be supportive and bend over backwards for their moms, granted it wasn't their choice to be sleeved they should be supportive, period. Anyone who isn't supportive of their own mother is a a-hole lol I don't care who doesn't like it I just call a spade a spade. I bet as a mother she would bend over backwards to support them to reach their goals. Just saying!
  15. Some say 4 weeks if you lifting before hand some say 6-8. I just was getting a feel for it. My dr says 4-6 just wanted to see what others say. Being a nurse I know Drs differ in what they say due to preference not necessarily research. I always do my own research.
  16. My mom had the lap band and me my brothers sisters and dad changed our diets got junk out of the house and most certainly would never eat pizza or fast food around her. We ate more healthy and we ate what she could eat. We'd even eat all different types of soup with her the first few weeks at dinner. Anything to make it easier on her. So there is a such thing as a supportive family. It's a shame everyone doesn't have one, it's a shame its such a strange thing to some people but it exists!
  17. How long did you wait to start lifting again?
  18. Your family sounds like a-holes!!! Hold your head up you can do this! I know it's hard with no support but that will make you that much stronger and more awesome for getting to your goals!!! Do it for the look at me now. Take a week long vacation away from your family concentrate on you that's what I would do with no support! Do you be healthy strong and fabulous! You can do it!
  19. Cool I'm 5'8 210. I'll have to keep up with your progress!!!
  20. Where are you having it done? I'm going to Tijuana with dr garcia june 8th! How tall are you? What's your weight?
  21. I'm a nurse and I fill my moms and a fellow nurse I work with. Just use a non boring needle so you don't ruin your port. Also only put small amounts in at a time I've gotten my moms so tight she couldn't swallow her own spit. Also dont empty it completely as it could slip. Do your research fill it small amounts at a time and make sure you can tolerate it
  22. My BMI is 32 but I know doctors will do the sleeve at 30. I've heard of smaller people gaining to qualify to get the sleeve done.
  23. I'm in Folsom but going to Mexico June 8th for mine!
  24. Anyone have a boarder line BMI like 29 before surgery and actually need to gain a little to qualify? I've heard of people doing this? Wanted to get everyone's take on this!? Let's discuss!
  25. I say embrace it!!! Eat to live not live to eat! This is my goal! Take care of yourself workout take your vitamins get your protein in and you won't become anorexic! Care for your body don't let yourself be malnourished and you'll be fine! Eating now is upkeep! Gasoline for your body! You don't have to enjoy putting gas in your car ya know!!! Good luck Hun you'll be fine! ❤️????????
