    Has anyone taken up Bycyling?

it helps but i don't think it counts. a good workout on a staionary bike is go hard, as fast as you can for a minute, then cruse for a minute. Hard then cruse. Push yourself.
  2. I'll agree. The Band only makes it harder to live our lives in the manner that we did before the bad. I doesn't make it impossible. I have the same struggles that you are facing. Hang in there.

7 ccs and I need some advice

I didn't get to restriction until I reached 9cc's. That was two years ago and I still feel good with it. Fill that puppy up if you have to. You didn't go through all the trouble to get the band to not use the it to the fullest of it's capacity.

    Has anyone taken up Bycyling?

It is disheartening to think about the amount of work it will take to get back to where I was last time I posted on here.

When I get some more weight off I'll try to start running. I have a little holiday gainage to deal with but I feel like I'm back on track.

    I wish I wouldn't Have!

Has everyone given up or just given up on this thread. I have been eating better and trying to get with it again without going nuts. I have been trying to help coach my son's little leauge football team and that takes up a lot of time that I was using to exercise. I went out in the middle of the day today and rode my bike 10 miles. It was the first time that I had rode in a long time and it wasn't too bad. Now for the bad news. I got on the scales today and had lost only 6 pounds in the last month. I guess that is to be expected considering my recent eating habits. Hope all of you guys are seeing some success. Let's keep pulling for each other. Thanks for all the kind words. BRAD

KNOCK! KNOCK! Lady with a Q for the men...

I still eat a lot. just not at one time. I eat at least six times a day. the difference is what I eat and the fact that I now exercise. I've lost 107 since Jan 4th. I enjoy life more and more everyday.

Weight lifting to build vs to tone

When I started lifting earlier in the year I did light weights for 15 reps for three sets, and at least 30 minutes of continuous cardio. I now do much heavier weights for 15 reps and an hour of cardio every other day. I am much stronger and more cut. You have to do the cardio or you won't increase your fintness level. Circuit training is a good idea to tie the cardio into the weightlifting.
  21. I've lost 107 since January 4th. I had a fill on May the 15.

    I wish I wouldn't Have!

Hollie, well stated. I wish you the best in your study. You have a lot of pressure to do well so that those who are under age and needing the surgery in the future have the opportunity. I'm pulling for you.

    I wish I wouldn't Have!

Hollie I don't agree with what you say about maybe hammer should have had the bypass. I'm certain there was a psych evaluation involved. I didn't loose any weight the first year I was banded just like hammer. My slow start was due to my lack of commitment to the process. Hammer has taken all the right steps to continue the weight loss and has accomplished a lot in losing 80 lbs already. Hammer just has a little bit longer journey ahead of him than some of the other people with the band. Remember the bypass is no quick fix either. We are all individuals and all respond differently to all of life's stressors.
