  1. I'm hoping that's not the case because I'd have to postpone it a bit which is not ideal since I already have my date, FMLA approved, bought everything and doing the liquid diet. I hope it's less than that because I know other things have been applied to my out of pocket. I just wish someone could give me an answer instead of me just hoping for the best and facing disappointment :/ Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
  2. I called again today to try and find out a money figure of some sort, spoke to 3 different people and still don't have an answer. One lady told me $8500 and I told her there was no way that was right due to my insurance covering some of the surgery and my out of pocket max. She was surprised that insurance covered it, she said most insurances don't. She still could not give me any kind of estimate though which is really stressing me out. I'm praying I have enough to cover the amount...I'll be devastated if I don't. ???? Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App

  5. My doctor recommended that I buy the "New whey" brand liquid Protein. One small tube has 42 grams of protein so you need 2 small tubes a day in most cases and all of your protein is covered. You can mix them with Water if they are too strong tasting for your preference. They are supposed to come in really handy in the first weeks after your surgery when you may be having a hard time consuming enough to get in all your protein. 7. Thank you! I'll give them a call tomorrow and ask. This is my first big medical venture as an adult so I feel a little overwhelmed with the whole insurance aspect as I don't completely understand it all, I'm sure we all feel overwhelmed at some points though no matter how insurance savvy we are. Thank you for your input Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
  8. 1-855-828-1488I just looked through my call logs and I am pretty sure this is the number. Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
  9. Yes you do. When I get home I can find this 1-800 number for you to call. You give them your doctor's office info and they'll send them a request for a prescription. Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
  10. Oh you're post-op, I missed that part, sorry. I don't have any experience with the post-op world yet. Maybe you can try going to the post-op thread and looking around there? Someone may have already addressed your question. If not, feel free to make a post and ask for advice. I'd always check with your doctor though. Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
  11. I was told about that nasal spray as well at my surgery consult. You take it once a week, one spray in one nostril. Thankfully my insurance covers it so it'll be delivered to me along with other vitamins each month for $25 and free delivery. Without insurance I believe it was around $70 plus delivery. 12. P.S. Good luck with your surgery! Check back in and let me know how everything is going for you. Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
  13. I guess as long as you are drinking the amount your doctor recommend per day it wouldn't matter if you drank a little every 15 minutes, as long as you get it all in. I would ask your doctor's office to be sure. I'm stumbling my way through this myself Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
  14. Oh I wish I was that close to my surgery day, this might not seem like such an ordeal lol. I'm trying to drink so much Water that I lose my appetite. I want and need my surgery more than I want a large thin crust sausage and pepperoni pizza with light sauce and extra cheese.....I think ???? Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
  15. Hi Tiffany I'm on day 3 and I guess it's going okay. I'm having unbelievable cravings, but I'm trying to just stay focused. How is yours going? Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
  16. They told me since I have so many things pending to be applied to my deductible that I wouldn't be able to get an accurate amount until the day of, which is frustrating and stressful ???? Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
  17. My surgery is scheduled for April 18th. I've already bought all my Vitamins and such, and have started my 2 week pre-op liquid diet. Now that I know I have the time off work that I need, my last huge worry is the amount that my co-pay for the surgery itself will be. I have been told I'll have to pay it the day of surgery and I am terrified I won't have enough money for it. I'm trying to not stress too much and stay positive, but this could potentially put everything at a screeching halt and I can't imagine not having the surgery at this point. I guess just pray for me guys, and if you don't pray please keep me in your thoughts or send some good vibes my way! Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App

  21. I'm on a 2 week liquid diet, 5 shakes a day. I am so used to eating a LOT. I'm on day 2 and all I can think about is tacos. I knew this wasn't going to be easy. But shoo! This is ROUGH. I'm trying to stay focused on my goal. I don't want to let some delicious tacos get in my way. Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App
  22. I just started my liquid diet today and I already feel like I'm doing it wrong ???? My meal replacement powder says one serving is 8 ounces of water and 2 scoops of powder. Well, for some reason the 8 ounce mark on the shaker/mixer/tumbler thingy doesn't look like much at all. Doesn't seem like 8 ounces. I'm only allowed 5 shakes a day...which equals out to 800 calories. Do anyone else's servings seem real little? Obviously I know I'm not going to be drinking 5 huge shakes, I just am second guessing myself at every opportunity and need reassurance.
