Hey, I'm in WV about an hour south of Pittsburgh Where about in WV?

I was sleeved 4/4 and down 15.5 pounds since the day of surgery.

Any of you who are having Dr. Hamad as their surgeon have your surgery yet? Mine isn't until April 4th. I was wondering how it went with her (and you) and how long you had to stay in the hospital.

I'm scheduled for surgery on April 4th at Magee Hospital with Dr. Hamad. Anyone else have surgery at Magee? How did it go? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hey My name is Bill. I know how your feeling. I got my call this morning. My date is April 18th. I was a little nervous before, but now, OH MAN!! I have said at least 4 times today "This is really happening". This is going to be a rough month and a half..lol Hopefully we can keep in touch to compare notes.. Good Luck!! Hi Bill! I just got the call on Friday that I am scheduled for April 4th. I will be having it done at Magee Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. It suddenly became real now that I have an actual date. I'm excited yet nervous.

@@Rachel Pittsburgh, I'm having my surgery at Magee as well. Dr. Hamad will be doing mine. Surgery not scheduled yet. It was supposed to be January, but I had a hiccup in today's endoscopy that might delay me 8-10 weeks. Good luck to you!

Yep, just started following you!

I had my endoscopy done this morning. It was my last pre-op test needed before going through the insurance process. During my endoscopy, three ulcers were found and diagnosed me with Barrett's Esophagus. (never had a single symptom) I am being placed on Dexilant and have to have a repeat endoscopy on February 12th. Does anyone know if this will stop me from getting my January surgery date? Thanks in advance...

Thank you! The last thing on my pre-op prerequisites is the endoscopy. I've had everything else done. Once I get that done, it'll go through insurance (fingers crossed) and then I'll get a date. We definitely need to help each other throught this.

Dr. Hamad at Magee will be doing my surgery (no date set). I hope my experience goes well.
