  1. I still see myself as fat although I have lost 80lbs and now wear a size 6 shorts. Has anyone else experienced this? I lost the weight quite rapidly, since January 20th 2015. Will my mental image readjust with time? My husband fears that I will loose too much weight.
  2. I am just under 5'2". Sleeved 1/20/15. Down a total of 80lbs so far.(including presurgery diet). I am in a size 6 now. I have to hit the 50% off sale at Goodwill every month and buy a new wardrobe.
  3. I had 5 incisions, 4 were glued but the one where the drain was left in continued to ooze for several days. I think I was told to keep them covered for a week or maybe 10 days.
  4. I had surgery on a Wednesday and returned to work the following Tuesday. I confided in my coworkers so they understood and did the more physically demanding tasks. I don't have a desk job, I am an industrial painter, female. You are the best judge of how you handle pain and you know what your physical condition is aside from the weight.

    Pregnant

My prayers are with you. And just for the record, not everyone regrets having an abortion for the rest of their lives. It was the right decision for me at the time and my biggest feeling was relief.

    Still fat mentally?

It seems like sizes are larger than they were 40 years ago. I have never worn a size 6 before but I can remember wearing a size 9 and I don't feel like I am that small. I have always been big busted so I don't wear a size 6 on top. I am not even sure what the correct size dress or fitted top would be since I haven't tried on dresses yet.
  7. Large Band-Aids, so much easier than trying to do gauze and tape. The extra large are big enough.
  8. Before my surgery we ate out a lot with Golden Corral buffet being a favorite. I don't know if my husband has lost weight but we don't eat out as much and haven't been to a buffet at all. It seems a waste of money. So your spouses habits will likely change at least a little.
  9. Dr. Ortiz performed my surgery. I don't know if I would have gone through with it had I heard stories about a recent death. However, death is always a risk with surgery. Dr. Ortiz is very experienced. The hospital is adequate but not what one would expect in the USA, but then again that is why it costs so much less.

    Discouraged/Sad

Hormonal changes go with the surgery. It took me about 3 months to level out and stop being depressed. As for your family eating fast food in front of you, you could be proactive and cook healthy meals for everyone so that the fast food isn't coming into the house. The soft/purée food stage will be behind you quickly.

    Swimsuit online? Where?

Woman Within is a good choice. I buy all of my bras from them. They carry a full line of clothing, bathing suits and lingerie. They are usually cheaper than other sites.

    Confused stomach and hungry!

As I understand it, the risk of adding solid food back to quickly is that your stomach could start leaking into your abdomen. This would be a very bad thing. You are also more likely to vomit. I know after my surgery I was terrified of throwing up.
