  1. You grab your typical XXL or XL shirt and then end up buying a plain old L size shirt at Old Navy! Let the shopping begin! Watch out Mediums, I'm coming for you next!
  2. Just curious how all the March sleevers are doing. I feel like I am moving right along. Plateaus come and go, but still dropping, slower now though. How about everyone else?
  3. I was the 23rd as well. Feeling great. I had a relatively easy recover, back to work after 1 week. I lost 23 lbs pre surgery and now 17 lbs down since 3/23. Starting was 289, now I am at 248-249. I have my one month check up tomorrow, a week early as my surgeon is going out of town. I'm doing better getting all Protein and Water in, but it was a challenge at first. Overall, I'm very happy with the surgery and lifestyle changes, excited for the future. TJ
  4. 3 Weeks out now. Starting weight 289, weight before surgery 265, and am at 248 this a.m. It was a great feeling breaking 250 finally! Things are going well, sick of shakes as well. I bought Protein shots online which are 38 grams of protein, figuring at least I'd be getting a huge dose of protein. Maybe its the flavor I bought...Berry Frost, but truly, I'd rather eat my own ankle. It was disgusing. I am going to continue to use them but now know have a chaser of Water and hold my nose the whole time. I joined a support group through the hospital where I had my surgery and found out about the shots there. I found out 1 week after surgery that when they tested my stomach that they took out (which I didn't know they did), that I have H. Pylori and am on 3 antibiotics which in addition to the Vitamin, B12, Calcium citrate, Iron is tought to have all that during they day. Still not sure why I wasn't tested for it before my surgery, would have been nice to have taken all the meds ahead of time instead of now when it is tough to swallow and makes me sick to my stomach. All in all, still all worth it, just some little bumps. How is everyone else doing now that we are hitting our 3 and 4 week marks...?
  5. I had my gastric sleeve surgery yesterday and am in the hospital recovering . My heaviest was 289 and after losting my inital 10, I went on to lose another 17 on the stage 2 diet. Yesterday I was 262 before surgery. I am sure I have dropped a few lbs just from not eating anything at all yesterday, but I'm waiting until I get home to weigh myself. I would love to be on the buddy page to share ideas, struggles, triumphs etc. TJ
