  1. I tell everyone that I had a hernia operation (partial truth) lol and that I am on a very strict medically supervised diet... Also true... Stops all questions... If they ask... Is it hard I tell them yes!
  2. I was sleeved 3/12 so I thoroughly understand... Since you are looking for some savory... Look for a soup that is savory, butternut squash soup perhaps? The sweet, chalky protein shakes are killing me too... Try some unflavored protein in a tomato soup... I know this too will pass, but getting use to the changes in taste as a result from the surgery is a tough nut sometimes!
  3. @@svelija thanks for the suggestions! I ordered a sampler pack of Nectar brand and began exploring the website...
  4. Ok... Help! I am doing ok with food, but the protein shakes... I'm having a hard time finding the best way to make them so they taste decent... It's not like I can hold my nose and gulp 6 oz down at once. I have unflavored, pumpkin, banana, white choc raspberry, summer melon, and a pomegranate raspberry... I've been trying it with almond milk... Maybe I just need water... Uggh, such a learning curve!
  5. My doctor said the first six months are turbo, the next 6 months fast, the third six months slower... And after 18 months the body figured out you changed the rules... So get as much as you can while you can especially if you have a lot to lose!
  6. I live exit 98 on weekdays , 82 on weekends lol... Sleeved 3/12 and on a full liquid diet... Still struggling with foods that are too sweet, protein shakes that are yucky...
  7. @@khiragibson what stage of diet does your dr recommend you be at today?
  8. @@Spicy06 Are the mashed potatoes and applesauce on the approved list of foods you doctor says you can eat?
  9. Well may the luck of the Irish bless you and your journey that begins today... St. Patty will never have the same meaning again!
  10. Surgery 3/12 @ 7AM released from hospital 8PM... Slept Friday, dozed Saturday, climbed into bed Saturday night, 40 minute walk around Walmart on Sunday and drove home on Monday. No pain, nausea has subsided, able to drink more, even had 4 oz of tomato soup for dinner in one sitting! Down 16 lbs since Wednesday morning when I started my pre surgery liquid diet.
