  1. My nurse at the hospital told me to take a glycerine suppository. I hadn't had a bowel mvmnt for almost a week post op and the suppository helped within a couple of hours. Stay away from laxatives. This will cause much pain right now.
  2. I had an RNY on the 19th. It was excruciating and I'm Still in pain. I was given Percocet at the hospital because I was in south pain. But they sent me home with Tramacet. That was too mild. I had to go to my GP and get more Percocet. This was my first major surgery, so maybe I wasn't prepared for the pain or I have a low pain tolerance. I was worried about having a complication but the nurses assured me that I was ok and that everyone is different.
