I have a 1 st. appointment with the surgeon January 11 let's hope he pencils me in. I have BC/BS (Anthems). Bless the Coordinators I have had to make use of them quite often . When calling for appointments I have never gotten a human just a recorded message that says (Please allow 24 to 48 hours for our office to respond) which they did not do . I have had to have the Coordinator to call the office on their secret hot line (*lol*) in order to talk to someone. I too would love to start my New Year off with all this taken care of. All this hurry up and wait really takes a toll on a body, even one the size of mine

Thank you so much Tina and I am glad to know someone else will be doing that at the same time we can support each other. I am a bit surprised on how drawn out the process is. I called and made the appointment for my mental evaluation with no problem is will be 1/15/08 but when I called to make the surgeon's appointment I got the silly answering machine that said "leave a message and they will call back within 24 hours" they never call back I waste days waiting . Sorry, I am not complaining just venting I am so grateful I am able to do this.

cQ, Please know we are there for you , I know how discouraging it must be but hang in there sweetie it will happen for you I am sure of that. I am truly sorry for the loss of your beloved kitty, I also am a animal lover and find much comfort in my precious Maltese.

Oh how scary for you, I am so sorry to hear you have had such an ordeal. I will pray for a speedy recovery and do keep us posted.

Just an update, This past Friday I was contacted by my surgeon's associate and giving the ok to make appointments for my evaluation and the first visit with the surgeon. I asked how long this procedure could take and was told a month or two so we could be looking at February as a Banding date. I hate that it could take that long but anything at all makes me feel like I have made progress at this point.

Welcome Angie, I to am waiting on the ok for my surgery. I am so glad that you did not go through with the Gastric Bypass it is so unsafe. My cousin had it done and she has a wasting look to her,she has lost most of her hair and feels bad all the time. The lap-band does not change your anatomy so it is much safer. I know all will go well tomorrow for you but I will keep you in my prayers as a little extra precaution

Still not a word, *sigh* I hope to hear soon. I did find out from our insurance coordinator that the procedure is approval depending on the physicians recommendations.

Hello Lish, Congrats on your banding date !! I am still waiting for my date. I am also the mother of 8 , 2 biological and 6 adopted we have 5 still at home from the ages of 7 to 17. We have a very busy life also with lots of cooking going on all the time. I am so excited for you, what fun your family will have watching you transform! Good Luck on your Journey to a new -healthier more vivacious you.

Hello everyone, I have spent the past few nights reading all your success stories and have to say the before and after pic's were phenomenal!! I have attended the seminar, filled out my paperwork and am waiting on pins and needles to be called in for my consultation. I can see that this site is a wealth of knowledge and support I am so glad to have stumbled onto it. :nervous:nervous
