  1. I am 13 days out and I am on soft food, puréed. I can drink just fine but eating eggs and cheese just makes my stomach hurt. Everything else seems to be ok.
  2. Thanks SharonTX. Sounds great.
  3. Went for my two week check today. I have lost 10 lbs since surgery. My wounds are healing nicely so I can take a bath. Yea! I have moved on to stage 3 and can have puréed food. I am a vegetarian so my protein choices are limited. Any suggestions?
  4. I have done great since June 17 but now my wait has plateaued and I am feeling weak. I do hope this passes. Sorry, my weight. : ). ????
  5. Things are going pretty well for me. I was sleeved on June 17th and have been active since then. I am still on modified liquid diet.
  6. Me too. I am not sure when I will move to the next level of food. I have been really tired lately. I hope this goes away soon.
  7. Thanks for the tip Soapandcandlequeen. I do walk a lot and it does help. How are you doing AreLin?
  8. I am feeling a little weak but fine. I have lost 45 lbs starting with pre-op.
  9. Hi I am in the East Bay. I had my sleeve done June 17.
  10. I had my sleeve surgery Wednesday June 17. It went well.
  11. My surgery was at 8:30 am June 17, 2015. It all went smoothly. Even afterwards, I have been walking a lot. Sleeping has been difficult.
  12. My surgery was yesterday. It went well. I am walking the corridors to help get rid of the gas.
  13. It takes about a month depending on your pre-surgery weight loss.
  14. I go to kaiser Richmond. I have gone through the process and have received my surgery date of June 17. I had no problem with the diet and walking but actually working out has been difficult.
  15. I am getting my sleeve on June 17.
  16. Hi Kat. I am a kaiser member in Northern California and that is exactly what I am going through.
  17. I am looking at June too. Still going through pre-surgery diet.
  18. The videos and advice has helped a lot. I have been trying to decide which surgery to have bypass or sleeve. I have done my research but nothing has told me how the patients feel about their surgery. I have already started the process, but this is the most important decision I have yet to make. I am 5'4" and my highest weight was 241 lbs, this was in January 2015. I have been on the pre-op diet since February 2 and now weigh 220 lbs. I lose weight till I hit a plateau and then I gain it all back and more. This is why I have decided to have surgery. I need to change my life or I will lose it. ; (
  19. i love my Fitbit flex. It does keep you motivated and tracks everything. Well only exercises associated with steps. I am in the pre-op stage. My surgery is not till June. I wanted to try the pre-op diet for a while and use a time where I wouldn't miss much work.
  20. I freaked when I went to orientation and the woman next to talked about how much she had to pay. Same insurance company but different plans. I called and found it is covered on my plan, no deductible. I started February 2 but asked for surgery in June. I hope they can accommodate this.
  21. Statistics are skewed. You look at at less than a 1% chance of mortality or greater than a 99% survival rate. Sounds like a disinfectant commercial. ✌️
