  1. Not that I've found. I wish there was a SIPS forum.
  2. Any SIPS folks out there that are having issues with bile reflux? I am 3 months post op and down 60 pounds already. I thought everything was great until I had to have an EGD and found out that the excess bile now being produced has caused inflammation & irritation in my stomach and esophagus. I never had any type of reflux prior to surgery. At my follow up appointment recently I was informed that BCBS had stopped paying for the surgery. My coworker called today to set appointment to meet surgeon and schedule date, and was asked if she was sure that SIPS was her choice because they are having issues with it. Anyone else hearing anything similar? This would have been great to know three months ago!
  3. @@Mojo56 - thanks for your willingness to provide information! Do you remember how long it took before you were able to eat "normal" healthy food? How much have you lost so far?
  4. I'm 9 days post op and I've been back to sleeping on my stomach for several days. I started with pillows to support my stomach while sleeping on my side, now I don't need anything and can sleep completely on my stomach.

  6. I'm doing very good. I've gotten in my 60 grams of protein a day. I actually got out and worked in the yard a bit today. Other than a little soreness on my bigger incision, I feel pretty normal! I'm ready for something different to eat...that's my main problem. I've had enough beef broth, cream of no chicken soup, and Popsicles. I ready to move on to semi-solids but I have to keep reminding myself it's not time yet!
  7. Nicole- how are you doing so far?

  9. @adrian5sims - thanks for sharing your story. I had SIPS procedure with Dr. Enochs on Friday, March 13. My hospital experience sounds a lot like yours. Everything has been great for me so far. Trying to get in my liquids and protein each day. Great to hear that you are back to eating real foods that you can enjoy. I hope that happens as soon for me!
