    Any Richmond, Va sleevers?

Haha! Fair enough. I was just thinking about getting veggies in with the shake too. The shakes you use, are they meal replacement or just for protein requirements?

    Any Richmond, Va sleevers?

Thanks for the protein shake suggestions! I just need to do my research and see what I like. Have any of you used the powders?
  3. I have been having the same questions too! I was just diagnosed with Hashimoto's in October of this year. Through my research, I have found that I also have a gluten sensitivity which might have triggered my Hashi's. I have cut out most gluten...I am not super strict with Soups, broths, salad dressings, etc. I have noticed a big change in my tummy and some in my energy levels. I know I could be more active but I get bouts of gout too...sighs...it's a viscous cycle. I work with a trainer one day a week, bootcamp one day, and yoga one day. I know I need to kick up my cardio. I carry most of my weight in my midsection. This is bad bc it causes higher levels of cortisol, the stress hormone. That makes it even harder to loose!!! Smh...I am really hoping wls will give me a boost in the right direction. It's just going to take tweaking and trial and error.

    Hows everyone doing?

Hey Rachael! I am just getting started in this place! My sugary date is set for 6/16/15. I will turn 41 in October. I hear what you say about your 30's! Whew...not a good time period for me either! Just curious...what were you doing physically before the surgery? Were you working out or walking? I am wondering what my recovery time will be and how I will feel. I am pretty active now and I hope that will help! Hope your journey continues to go well. You should be over some of the yucky humps by now, right?! Take care, Amy

Hi ya'll! I am in Glen Allen. My surgery is scheduled 6/16/15 with Dr. Schroeder. I am self pay. I need to start getting myself together as I know these next few months will fly by. Just wondering what you all used as far as Vitamins and Protein drinks/shakes? Thanks! Amy

    Anyone from Virginia?

@@simplicity27 Hey! I using the same surgical group, but I will have Schroeder. I am also a self pay. What admin stuff should I know that you wish they had told you? My surgery isn't until June. Thanks for any input you have! Amy
  7. Hey! My name is Amy. I am located in Richmond,VA. My surgery is coming up this summer, so I am trying to get prepared. To not be a troll, I decided to post.
  8. Plan, plan, plan! I need to figure out vitamins and protein shakes, look for wls recipes. I work out with a trainer once a week, do a bootcamp with coworkers once a week and will start yoga next week. I have cleaned out my closet of clothes that I know I won't fit into next season. I am staying busy!
  9. Awesome! I am excited to be able to post before and after pics too. My procedure isn't till this summer. My trainer is coming over today and I wasn't really feeling it. Looking at all the before and after pics have inspired me. Thank you for sharing!
  10. I am self-pay, so I don't have to jump through insurance hoops. Sucks that I have to pay out of pocket but glad I don't have so many restrictions in order to have surgery. I am a teacher, so I scheduled the surgery right after school is out. I have had my psych eval and met with the nutritionist. All I have to do now is the pre-surgery class and a physical, both of which are scheduled 6/2. Getting ready...nervous, but ready!
