  3. Ok so I start my pre op diet at the end of this month and I'm going crazy trying to find shakes that I can actually use. I'm trying them now so I can know then what to use, the only problem is my doctor is really strict! It's 2 week liquid diet with only approved meal replacements, my options are in the picture below. The ones I have tried are making me sick, they taste terrible and I don't even care I will just not eat! But the problem is I don't want to be malnourished and them not do the surgery or something stupid like that! Any ideas on making these better somehow? Tomorrow morning I'm going to try to blend them with ice and make a sort of milk shake thing ???? but not sure! Please help with any ideas!!!! I'm really nervous about not being able to do this!
  4. Hey surgery buddies mine is July 13th and I start the pre op diet on June 29th! I am sooo excited and terrified at the same time!!! What are your worst fears? Mine are definitely that I won't stay on track after surgery and the pre op diet! ????
  5. So after a year long struggle and being denied once before! I finally got my date, July 13th!!!! I start my liquid diet on June 29th!!! I'm so excited words cannot describe! Although I am still nervous and worried about the liquid diet and post op diet.

So I've gone through the super long process of testing and waiting with monthly weigh ins and finally last week I submitted the paperwork to my insurance, my doctor said a month to hear back from them but that it could happen sooner. I have apwu through Cigna. How long did it take to hear back?

  8. Hey I'm in Long Island as well, doing it with dr Brathwaite in patchogue, ny. I've started my testing and am halfway done, looking for a date in May/June really excited!
