  1. I was sleeved on April 29th. I am on purée for 3 more weeks. I've pretty much been living on plain greek yogurt with a tsp of sf syrup mixed in, cottage cheese and shakes. Yesterday I tried part skim ricotta mixed with a little tomato sauce. On Monday I made some chicken salad and puréed it....then I was in horrible pain after eating it. Lesson learned! Good news today from my post op appointment. I have lost 17lbs since my surgery date.
  2. That's so great!!! Steak got me too on the pre-op diet. I dunked my spoon in the steak juice before the hubby sent me back to the table with my broth...lol. Keep up the hard work!
  3. I understand how much it sucks. I was sleeved on 4/29. My surgeon has me in the puréed stage for the next 4 weeks. Tonight I made Everyday Paleo's crockpot creamy tomato chicken soup. I put my 1/4 cup serving in the blender with some broth and puréed the crap out of it. It tasted so good! I didn't feel deprived and my family enjoyed it. Hang in there....we can do this!!
  4. Food just doesn't taste the same to me. I tried an egg this morning and it tasted gross. I've had ff refried beans with a little cheese. Tonight a friend made a cheeseburger casserole for my family. It's just lean ground beef, cheese, light mayo, and sliced tomato. I used my immersion blender and puréed some for me to try. Yes it looked like cat food but tasted amazing! I've been having trouble getting my water in. I feel like I'm drinking all the time but I'm still thirsty. I picked up some sugar free lime jello. I'm going to make some and mix in my unflavored unjury powder....hopefully it will taste good.
  5. I am at the hospital waiting too! I feel so sick from all the antibiotics I had to take last night.
  6. I had my pre-op appointment today. I have a liquid diet the day before and surgery on Wednesday the 29th. I have to take a lot of antibiotics the night before. I'm slightly irritated about being overcharged. My insurance pays 100% with no deductible, but the office made me pay a full deductible anyway. I'm trying to put it out of my mind....it will all get sorted out after surgery. I am happy that I will be the first surgery of the day!
  7. Monday - Bodystep Tuesday - yoga - 60min Wednesday - plyometrics Thursday - Zumba Friday - yoga 45 min If for some reason I can't hit the gym on those days....I do DDP yoga at home or TRX training and walk for 30 min
  8. I hope your surgery went well!
  9. Thanks for all your input. It has been very helpful and I have decided to go with the sleeve. I called the nurse coordinator and switching the procedure shouldn't be a problem. I look forward to going on this journey with you guys. So far I have lost 35lbs.
  10. Hey everyone! I'm very torn right now. I have completed my six month physician monitored weight loss program required by my insurance. I have my first appointment with my Bariatric surgeon this Friday. All this time I was certain I wanted the LapBand, but the more I read, the more I think I should opt for the sleeve instead. Why did you opt for the sleeve over banding?
