  1. My swollen feet and ankles have been a huge problem for me. I am less than one week out of surgery and my ankles are thin! I love my beautiful ankles It is so great not to feel pain in my feet for the first time in a long time.
  2. Annie - I would love to hear how you are doing. I also had my surgery on Thursday, and so far, so good. Still pretty sore, but getting better each day. It is a struggle to get all of the liquids in, but I'm managing to stay on track. Wishing you all the best in your journey!
  3. I just had my surgery on Thursday. I was very nervous, but everyone at the surgical center was fabulous. I spent one night and came home at 6:00am. Each day gets a bit easier. I'm eager to see where this journey takes me. So far, it's really not as bad as I thought it would be.
  4. Looking forward to hearing how your surgery went. I'm scheduled for tomorrow

  8. JR- I am hanging in there on the low carb diet. It has gotten easier as I have gotten farther into it. Only 6 more days to go for me. I'm hoping to starting attending the PSSC support group in April - I've heard great things about it.
  9. JRFishes...So glad to hear about another great experience at PSSC. My surgery will be there next Thursday.... Best wishes in your recovery!
  10. CrissyBat- I did buy some Isopure today for the first few days after surgery. Has anyone purchased unjury? I'm thinking of purchasing the chicken broth flavor, so I have something other than "sweet"
  11. I am also on the pre-op diet. Mine is just a low-carb diet. I've heard that many have to do an all-liquid diet. It hasn't been horrible so far. I think my body has adjusted now. I can't believe it is a week from tomorrow! I have also been drinking the Premier Protein shakes. They are not too bad - I like the chocolate better than the vanilla, but you could probably do a few things to the vanilla to make it better...
  12. Jenbaby....thanks so much for sharing your experience. That is so great to hear. I have been really happy with my experience so far - everyone has been very kind and helpful. It's hard to believe that I am only 10 days away. This has been a very difficult decision, but I feel like I am on my way to a new, healthier me. So glad to hear about your positive experience!
  13. Mine will be at PSSC. How are you feeling so far? I'm nervous about those first few weeks....

  17. I'm nervous too - one of my big fears is losing a lot of hair, but I know it will all be worth it in the end. I so feel some relief at having made the decision to move forward with this. Now, I am ready to face the future and all of the adventures that it may hold.
