  1. I think we all have that fear that it wont work and we will still be hungry because its so hard to imagine not being hungry and not wanting those foods we love.I had the same fears as you, I'm only 12 days post surgery I'm not hungry and what I find most interesting is that those foods I love just don't interest me. I was looking at easter eggs with someone and I suddenly realised I was not the slightest bit interested. It wasn't even that I wasn't hungry just didn't care about them and that is huge for me. As others have said this isn't an easy option and you still need to choose to eat the right things, but it helps to know that you are not alone with that fear - the surgery will make a difference
  2. Thanks guys this makes me feel a lot better
  3. Hi I'm ten days out so still on fluids for another few days. My fear is that when I do eat I wont feel full. My sister had the same op and she had trouble even drinking just the 30mls because after a sip she was already full however I am up to the 100ml every half hour/hour and I am having no problem at all and this scares me. Any one else feel the same? Will eating food actually be very different to drinking fluids? I'm getting really worried
  4. Hi I had my surgery on 25th February and still experiencing shoulder pain, in fact the only pain I've had from my op is this. It is starting to ease up but still cant breath to deep the only thing ive found helps is what one nurse told me and that is to lie flat on your back - seems simple but within 5 10minuts the pain eases up. Hang in there it does get easier
