I just wad to check in this evening. All went well today. Small meals on target today at work. Plenty of fluids. Exercise went pretty well. 200 step ups and 45 minutes of walking at work throughout the day. Got home and got 30 minutes on the elipti-kill.. Getting the work done!! The commander made us a good Valentines day dinner while our kiddos were passed out on the couch. Pork tenderloin and green Beans. BIG NEWS BIG NEWS I decided today that on June 27 this year, I am going to participate in my first 5k! It is a walk run in Dayton OH hosted by our minor league baseball team. I am going to need plenty of accountability! LETS GET IT DONE!!

Random every day questions/thoughts.
Here is one WLS related. When a person has trouble with their appendix and a surgeon removes it, it is called an appendectomy. But when a person has problems with their lap-band it is called lap- band removal. Why not lap-bandectomy??

Random every day questions/thoughts.
I thought it might be fun to start a thread off topic a bit. After all we do thing of other think than our WLS. We did this in a different forum and it gets pretty humorous at times! So feel free to post a question or random thought, or just add to or answer someone else's question or random thought.

Well I got 20 minutes on the elliptical machine right before dinner. With that I did 200 step ups and 1 hour walking at work today. My meals were small. I probably ate one bite too many for dinner. I had chicken bites smothered in hot sauce. Got well over 100 oz water. I think my pouch is gonna be ok after 4 years of abuse. I mentioned in another thread but I will mention it here as well. I am a binge eater. It has been 1 week since my last binge. Very thankful for the victory. I have been praying for power in this fight. The Lord is so good!

@@s_suther what was the doctors reasoning for having you reduce your water intake. I am NOT second guessing him, just wondering.

@@2babutterfly I really did play the tuba. But I think it was because how was the only kid in the 7th grade that could carry the thing. Whenever my kids turn on veggie tales I have to march around the living room like I'm playing the tuba. such a dork. Lol

Off to a good start. I drive a truck hauling gasoline mostly. I have been getting extra exercise while loading and unloading five to six trips a day. Well today I am hauling jet fuel from Indy to Cincy. Will only have a few chances to get in extra exercise while at work. I am planning on stopping at a rest stop on the way back today and walk for 20 minutes or so. I have only had a few pieces of summer sausage and 3 bottles of water so far. I will check back this evening. @@s_suther Thanks so much for starting and leading this thread.

Question... Newly banded!
The good news is the pain will go away as you lose weight.if I understand right the way you're describing your pain, it is swelling around The port. It will probably help if you keep your back straight when you are sitting. practIce good posture.

Can't eat anything... Help!
I had a friend with the sleeve (I have the band) And he said he had swelling for about 3 weeks. It got better but IMO you may need to get your mind set on you will not be eating much for some time. Not sure if this will help.

I saw something tonight that was pretty inspiring. I was pulling the garbage to the curb and I saw this guy walking making the loop in the cul-de-sac (my house is dead at the end). This was the 3 time since Sunday I have seen him walking. You may be thinking wipty do.. Well it was 27 deg out and the man is prob around 400 pounds. I know where he lives. It is probably over a half mile away. I got a chance to say hi and keep it going to him. Way to go neighbor... I know this is not accountability related, but made me want to hit the elipti-kill for 10 minutes!
