  1. Hi all, I'm having a revisional lap band surgery on Friday, May 21st, b/c my original band (1/2005) has slipped. I'm a breastfeeding mother of a six month-old son, and I plan on continuing to breastfeed if possible. I'm going to be on 3 weeks of fulls and 3 weeks of purees. Does anyone have any suggestions for the post-op diet? Specifically, any recommendations for Protein shakes and the like? I want to do sugar-free, high protein. And is there anyplace online that we can get these things for reasonable prices (powders, prepared shakes, etc. are so expensive in the stores!). Any recommendations and/or support would be wonderful! Thanks.... Kashi
  2. Sooo...I'm scheduled to have a revisional lap band surgery a week from today, May 21st, meaning my old band will be taken out and a new one will be put in its place. I had the band originally put in 5 1/2 years ago (jan 2005). The reason for the surgery is slippage of the band, something I only learned a month ago. I am excited that I'll get back on track, but I'm also nervous about starting all over again. And I'm concerned about the post-op period, being that I have a 3 1/2 year-old daughter and a six month-old son (whom I have to carry, as I can't get around it). I have no support other than my husband, who will take off the first five days from work. I'm also still lightly breastfeeding. Ugh! I am not exactly scared about all this, but I'm definitely feeling anxious. Has anyone experienced any aspect of my scenario (kids, slippage, revisional surgery, etc.)? I'd love to hear people's thoughts and/or experiences. Thanks in advance! Kashi
