  1. Anybody here use Instagram to document their journey?? I just started a separate account for WLS related things. Haven't really updated since I'm still eating kinda bad Please feel free to follow me and I'd love to add those of you that use IG! 2sleeveornot2sleeve
  2. I'm on week 2 of Options @ Fontana and still haven't started a "diet"! I've been off and on diets the last 15 years so I don't know why it's so hard this time around!
  3. One of the biggest pro's to me (still a newbie) is that the surgery reduces the production of Ghrelin-"Hunger Hormone ". That doesn't happen with dieting.
  4. I have Kaiser in Southern California and we need to do stool test, blood, chest xray and EKG
  5. I started my Options classes 2 weeks ago and I'm thinking surgery would be around September!
  6. I have Kaiser in Southern California and my PCP was VERY unsupportive! All I needed from her was a referral to the Health Ed dept and the Bariatric program takes over from there. Don't let the first DR discourage you! She's obviously closeminded and shouldn't be in a field where she helps people!!
  7. Wow, you took the words right out my mouth! I'm in the early stages of pre-op and I'm kind shocked at how much I LOVE food in such an unhealthy way! I'm supposed to lose appr. 25 lbs before surgery and haven't even begun trying! I'm mostly afraid of not being able to eat what I want. I'm so frustrated with myself!!
  8. That's awesome! I saw the Dr last week. When did you see the surgeon??
  9. So, I went to my first class yesterday. There was a SUPER SHORT blurb on WLS and I was hoping I'd get more info!! Anyways, I made an appt to speak with a Surgeon (Kaiser in Redlands) to see if they'd recommend WLS. It isn't until March 10th I wish it was sooner, but I'm sure time will fly as it always does!!
  10. Hopefully, I'll be starting Options in March also!! We may see each other there
  11. Totally forgot to update, but yes I did get the referral. My Dr was pretty negative about WLS. BUT I have orientation this Monday in Fontana @1:30!!
  12. I'm in the Colton Kaiser right now, I have an appointment in a few minutes. I'll update when I get out
  13. Awesome!! I'll actually be seeing my PCP in Colton so I'm pretty sure I'll also be going through Fontana for classes!! Did you just straight out tell your Dr you want WLS??? Lol, I don't know what to tell her tomorrow!
