My info was submitted to insurance last Wednesday. I called my insurance today to make sure they got it and they told me it was reviewed and approved today!!! ???????????????? they said a letter would go out to my doc office and a copy to me. I went ahead and called my True Results insurance advocate today to let her know. Hopefully I will know something this week. It's getting real now!!! Woohoo ☺️

Forgot to mention I am having sleeve surgery, but I would assume the approval would take about the same amount of time.

Have you heard anything yet? It appears we are at about the same place on our journey. I had my first appointment March 24, psych consult and nut visit were completed by April 6. I called my doc office insurance advocate (True Results) on TuesdayApril 21. She said they had everything they needed to submit to insurance and had 72 hours to review/double checking out and would then submit to BCBS IL for approval. I hope that happened Friday or will happen Monday I'm very impatient. I will probably call my insurance this week to see if they have received anything. ????

Awesome I had my first appt on March 24. I am assuming it might be late May/early June for me.

I have completed all tests required by insurance (BCBS IL) and am now waiting for approval. Waiting is so hard!! Does anyone else have BCBS IL info to share? I have heard they take about 2 weeks. Thank you!

I am hoping for April but won't know until I get my medical clearance which started this week.

I had my consult appointment today at True Results Fort Worth. It went good I think! I have been a lurker here for a long time, so this is my first post. I did all my pre-op testing today aside from a psyche consult and the 1 and only nutritional consult that my insurance requires. Due to my BMI I do not require additional testing. My packet states that Dr. Adam B Smith, D.O., will be my surgeon. I saw a nurse practitioner today. I will have to wait for medical and insurance clearance, but I am hopeful I can schedule my sleeve soon. Does anyone have experience with Dr. Smith they can share? I have done so much research the last two years. I am just sooooo ready and excited to finally be getting this process started. Thanks!! Chelle
