    2 years 20 lbs in 3 months

Been there girl, keep your head up!
  4. Hey there! We have very similar stats! I was doing the same thing with the carbs and sugar and got back up about 40 from my lowest when we decided to do the revision and still up like 25 when he did it. I'm down 10lbs in the past week since the procedure and so thankful to be going in the right direction again!
  5. Not sure what the original or updated bougie sizes are, but I pushed it way beyond capacity (like an idiot) quite often to do the damage I did. I did see the upper GI barium series that I had done before we scheduled the overstitch and it very obviously had the lobe re-growing as opposed to the original tube sleeve. Thankfully my surgeon is a super nice guy, because I half expected him (rightfully) to slap me lol

Blowing it, meant to be obese

Your story sounds VERY similar to where I ended up, take my advice- STOP eating until you're uncomfortably full ASAP. I did it too many times and I stretched out my sleeve horribly. YES it is possible. I just had to have a revision surgery to get myself back on track so it feels like I'm starting over again. Please don't do that to yourself!!!
  7. I absolutely have to weigh every day, it keeps me honest. I find if I get up in the morning and don't want to weigh, I'm probably guilty of eating something I shouldn't have!! I am guilty of letting it effect my mood if it's not a good weigh in though :/ but I try really hard to just roll with it, we all know how that goes!

Almost 2 years out and gaining

I'm 2 years out, I screwed up and gained almost 40lbs back so I had the overstitch revision procedure a few days ago to get myself back on track! So far, so good!!!
  9. I'm 2 years out, but just had a revision surgery so I'm back on the post op diet and I have been having non-stop super vivid dreams about eating, it's crazy. It's kind of funny because I guess my mind is just trying to cope with not being able to eat in it's own weird way! We all get it, the battle will subside, I promise! [emoji173]
  10. Late to the party on this, but I just had this procedure done 2 days ago (a day shy of my 2 year surgiversary) due to stretching of my sleeve (100% neglect on my part) So far feeling good and looking forward to getting back to my lowest weight and beyond! LapGyrl- did you ever get it done?

    Any Florida sleevers?

Hi guys! I am in East Orlando and I had my surgery with Dr. Teixeira in March 2015, I'm having an endoscopic suturing revision done with him on March 1 to combat some weight gain from a stretched sleeve (my fault [emoji21]) I highly recommend Dr Teixeira and would love to get to know some local sleevers for support this time for sure, as I think it may have impacted my success to try and go it alone last time! 13. I'm getting the sleeve sometime in late February and was wondering how everyone does with lettuce/leaf spinach for salads? I've been reading mixed reviews. I'm an on/off low carber so I typically use full fat Caeser dressing and am looking to stock up (there's a really good sale right now) but I'm unsure if that's the dressing I should get or if I should use light post-op? Any help is appreciated!!

  15. Ok folks, what were must haves for you after surgery or things you wish you had? I.e.- gas strips, liquid Tylenol, etc
  16. Any tried and true suggestions for post surgery cookbooks? Thanks!
  17. What is the book you referenced about psychological effects of WLS? I'd be very interested to read it! Thanks!

    Salads and dressings?

Yeah, I'm not the only one who uses it, so it wouldn't go to waste regardless, but what you are saying makes sense about the protein, I wasn't thinking of that. Thanks!

    Salads and dressings?

That's a really great idea! And you have no trouble using full fat dressings? Would you recommend going light?
