So had my gastric sleeve at a fantastic private hospital in London where the nurses would check on me every half hour and administer medication through IV. Today at discharge i was given a sack full of medication and sent on my merry way. Taking medication which is dissolvable but i am in a catch 22 situation i am in pain so i got to drink medicine but drinking the medicine gives me pain. Its not like other surgeries where you pop a pill and numb the pain for a while this is so hard! Sorry to be a debbie downer but i am struggling

I am the same i look bigger now than i did pre op! All that gas inside!

So i was sleeved on thurs 26th feb at the royal free hospital in london. One of my incisions hurt and when i sip water a have an uncomfortable pain in my back feels like trapped wind. I want to be active and pain free the not eating doesn't bother me but the pain does any advice would be great

Well done i was sleeved on the 26th feb 2015 sitting in the hospital waiting to be discharged. Did anyone experience pain in their back when sipping water? I have that pain as well as one of the 4 incisions the one nearest to my bellybutton hurts the most

I am 24 hours post surgery too i gave pain in my back when i sip water and 1 of the wounds hurts ????

Thanks nerves are setting in now just need to relax i just wish i knew what to expect pain wise everybody has such different pain thresholds

Hi first post here! I am in London and am due to start my pre op diet in a few days. My BMI is currently at 42 and my surgery has been booked privately for Feb 26th. I have no idea about which is the best protein shake to have as meal replacement. Would appreciate tips on what everybody was eating 2 weeks prior to the surgery! Thanks!!
