  1. This too shall past and I still have the Nausea feeling along with pain. I can keep fluid down but please don’t let it get you down I promise it will get better real soon
  2. My surgery went well on yesterday. I am looking forward to using this tool to get and keep my weight off. I am walking, drinking my fluids and hardly haven any pain. My doctor is discharging me tonight hopefully. This bypass went a whole lot better than the sleeve. I am going to be patient converting to solids. I actually feel great I am so glad I did this for me.
  3. I had my surgery yesterday and everything was a success. I am in pain but that much. My doctor said I will go home today. I am going to ask when do I start my vitamins. I did pee and I went walking around the hospital
  4. I just ate my last sugar free popsicle, I have taken my pre op shower and now it’s time for bed. My surgery is in the morning. My daughter can’t stay because she just stared her new job. I know God will protect me. I am super excited and I am so tired of seeing all those food commercials lol. Good night everyone
  5. I am finished with my full liquid diet. Today I start my clear liquid diet however my clear liquid diet consists of jello, sugar free popsicles, crystal light, water, clear liquid protein shakes(I don’t have), decaffeinated sugar free coffee and tea. I have to be at the hospital at 5:15am and I am determined that this tool will help me to reach my goal weight. I am getting a revision from sleeve to bypass. I have craved every food in the world even the food that I will never eat. I didn’t have anything outside of my diet because with needing knee replacement in both knees I can’t play with getting this weight off and keeping it off.
  6. Yes I am with you I am so tired of protein shakes that I don’t care if I never see another shake for the next 20 years.
  7. I am six days out on my pre op liquid diet. Today is a struggle because I am moving and my God it’s hard
  8. Today is my fifth day on this liquid diet and my God I wish I could have something different than protein shakes and cream of wheat. I have 8 more days and then I do the clear liquid diet the day before surgery. I have to stay strong and keep pushing. I know it’s going to be a good three months before I have something tasteful but it will be well worth it.
  9. Ok now I have my surgery date which is June 3 however I paid my doctor the $221.27 for whatever I had to pay I can’t remember. Now today the hospital called and informed me that I have to pay 2,821.00 on the date of my surgery or I can’t have it. I told that lady why in the hell would I just not receive this information some people don’t have that type of money. She said we will only accept half and we will bill you for the rest ok but still I don’t have $1400. This is crazy because I should have known this information way before now. When I had the sleeve my doctor had the hospital to tell me what I would have to pay out of pocket and they put me on a three month payment plan before I had my surgery. I actually thought that I wouldn’t have to pay since it was deem medical reason for the revision to bypass. My insurance company said that I hadn’t met my in network out of pocket deductible which is $5,500 some of these insurance companies are complete riff off.
  10. This is my third day on this liquid diet. I can’t wait to get home from work and eat cream of wheat. This liquid diet sucks but I have to keep pushing and I am so tired of peeing all night until I don’t get much sleep
  11. Day 2 on full liquid diet before surgery and it sucks. I just try to focus on my goals
  12. I am starting my pre opt diet tomorrow. It’s a full liquid diet. My doctor said I can have cream of wheat which I like. I made some today however I am guessing it needs to be a little more thinner. I can have chicken broth God help me. I brought sugar free popsicle, sugar free pudding and protein shakes. If I can’t make this cream of wheat thinner then I am not going to do it. I gain almost ten pounds since my last visit. I am determined to lose at least 12 pounds before surgery because I am determined not to cheat one day. I am moving this weekend and I am in school online so I am very busy. Mind over matter, I had the sleeve in 2015 and wasn’t successful. This revision is my last chance and plus I am older now, I need knee replacement surgery on both knees so you can only imagine how I walk. I know these two weeks are going to be hard but everyday that I am in pain reminds me of why I need this bypass surgery.
  13. I was denied twice however the denial and approval took 1week and 2 days
  14. I got my approval today and my surgery date is June 3 and I am so excited. I wanted a May date but oh well at least I got an approval. I was sleeved in 2015 however it was unsuccessful. I am determined for this bypass to work. I wanted the bypass the first time but the surgeon suggested the sleeve. This is the last and final time can’t get another revision after this but I wouldn’t one another one.
  15. Yes I got my approval today. Surgery date 6/3/2019
  16. I got approved today
  17. My surgeon submitted my information to my insurance company, My insurance sent it back stating that they needed a letter from my primary care physician. My primary care physician wrote a letter stating I needed the surgery. I was denied by my insurance company however my surgeon did a peer to peer with the insurance company. My surgeon called stating that they need another letter from my primary care physician stating that they she recommend the revision and the letter must have her signed signature. A little history I had the sleeve in 2015 and lost 30 pounds and have gained 30 plus back. Now I want the gastric bypass. Do you think the insurance company will now approve me.? My primary physician will submit a new letter on Monday and then my surgeon will submit the information again for approval. Anyone ever experience this before. My insurance company is APWU
  18. I was denied
  19. I am doing it because I didn’t have luck with the sleeve in 2015. My BMI is 40, I previously had the sleeve. I am praying when my surgeon speak with the insurance provider on tomorrow or Friday that they will approve me but if not I will go on weight watchers.
  20. I was denied in 24 hours for my revision. My surgeon stated that she is going to do an appeal however she used a different word was to upset to remember the word. I know it starts with a P. Oh well life goes on time to get some diet pills.
  21. My information was submitted to my insurance company today for my revision from sleeve to bypass. I am praying that I get an approval fast, so ready for this surgery to work this time. I graduate in July with my BS and hoping that I am well after the surgery to walk across the stage. Praying I get approved and have the surgery in May. My surgeon stated that my insurance company takes about a month for approval praying it doesn’t take a month for approval.
