I had the rny gastric bypass in August of '05. Initially lost 136 pds have gained back about 15 but have also had two children and preg with a third. Wouldn't change my decision for anything. If you are a sugar junkie or carb junkie like I was the rny is the BEST SURGERY period. Yes I am anemic but ultimately I am 100 times healthier than I was and if u stay on top of your protein with food and take ur vitamins religiously ur good.

I had the rny gastric bypass in August of '05. I am almost ten years out. Initially lost 136 pds have gained back about 15 but have also had two children and preg with a third, due in July:) the only issues I have had have been anemia and a tendency to get dehydrated. Best decision I have ever made for myself. -
QUESTION: If U had gastric bypass & U had 2 do all over again verses the SLEEVE would U?

Panera bread or subway

They always have chili at subway or soup, and the soup and salads are great at panera -
I am 35 as well, 3 mo preg with my third child. All of my preg were post op gastric bypass. The only real concerns with any if my preg as well as my current one is my severe anemia. I don't absorb iron well and will prob have to have iron infusions again, but have had easy preg otherwise.
