18 months post op
Hello all. Happy holidays. Just doing a follow up. I was sleeved 5/29/15. Pre surgery weight 345 SW 320 CW 200. My Dr told me my goal would be 225 but I passed that in the first 6 months. It was easy losing. The hard part is maintaining but I'm trying my best. It's just important to surround yourself with positive people and unfortunately at times we have to let go of some relationships because of their lack of respect. Hope everyone is doing well. You're welcome to ask any question. I'm in NYC if there are any locals for chatting.

Does anyone regret having surgery?
I was the same way. The day after surgery I had a lot of energy for a few days then I lost all of it for about 3 weeks or so. I was out of work for 6 weeks till I had the energy to move completely. I was sleeved 5/29/15.

Does anyone regret having surgery?
Hi. My only regret was not doing it sooner in my life. I was sleeved May 2015 when I was 44 years old. Best decision I ever made. I'm making up for lost time. Picked up cycling. Hiking and other activities

Purée recipes anyone?
Hi. You can purée just about anything . I was sleeved May 2015. I would purée chicken and Beans in chicken broth seasoned well. It had the majority of my Protein for the day. I didn't try to go crazy looking for many recipes. I just purée a lot of my favorite foods. After that stage I made a lot of homemade chili with 4 types of beans and ground chicken and ate that for a few months. My weight before surgery was 340. I'm now 200

Vacation after surgery?
It depends if your friends know you just had surgery and will respect the face you cannot drink or eat at this time. I had the same situation after my surgery and just to accomplish my goals I sacrificed not doing a lot. Best choice I made personally since now I can eat anything in moderation. Drink. And have fun. No one know I had surgery. I'm down. 140 lbs after 6 months and now just maintaining

FMLA approve me... but my job said no due to staffing.
You should speak to your doctor to give you a letter for health reasons in order to get the time off for the surgery
