  1. What can't be pureed? I was told to keep all meals less than 10g sugar and less than 10g fat. But what can we not puree? Can a soft roast and potatoes be pureed? Can we puree lettuce and tomato along with a Mexican type salad concoction? Does salsa have to be pureed or can we have it non pureed?
  2. I'm 11 days post op and I have a white stitch poking out of my incision more than an inch long. Is this normal? It's the incision where they hold the liver out of the way
  3. Was hoping to find out when everyone's doctor allowed you to start the puree diet? Mine is 2 weeks post op. Why are there variations for different doctors? Thank you
  4. Didn't know we could have that. Makes sense though eh
  5. Please. I have constant diarrhea for past 2 days. 8 days post op. How to stop this. Already left messages with my doctor team.

  12. I would say Holy smokes yes. It's fine. You still in full liquids. Just sip sip sip and have a Couple protein shakes or isopures. Don't worry about the meals yet. You are eating less than 300 calories
  13. Home from surgery. Are we supposed to keep wearing the Compression socks. I don't recall my doctor saying anything about it and I forgot to ask
  14. How long before you could move somewhat normally. Getting in and out of bed etc
  15. Yes on IV. But they want you to drink 1 ounce of fluid every 15 minutes all day before they will release you to go home.
  16. Thank you so much for the help. I'm an idiot I guess. How do you sip without taking air in? Is there a way you could explain. Do gas x or mylicon drops work? They are sending mylicon drops up
  17. I can't even drink these 1 ounce waters without getting gas pain and nausea. I couldn't handle diladid it made me nauseous too
  18. Oh yes. It's my 2nd night here. And just miserable
  19. The pain is bad. I'll get rid of gas pains and then new ones come. What causes the new ones. Also a couple surgery holes kill and my stomach is extremely sore. Can't lay down comfortably. Very hard to get liquids down..
  20. Yes. She's exactly right. My BMI is 50.3 and no 6 months of dieting required. And blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan doesn't do preapprovals. They simply pay.
  21. Me neither. But I'm at the required weight loss for the preop and still have several days to go. What's wrong with subbing cheese for a protein shake
  22. Day 3-6 are the absolute hardest. Then it gets pretty easy and no longer are just dying for your favorite food. I don't think having a pickle, or peppers is bad. Even some cheese. Instead of a 3rd shake
