  1. I can totally agree with you. Ive always been heavier but since 2010 its gotten way out of hand. I weigh 316, and 5'9. I have seen myself in the mirror and like man I suck it in, or angle myself. Well for xmas my daughter got a tablet. I was on the phone and she started taking pics. Later on she told me to come see. I was mortifies! Who was that in those pictures?!?! Where had she been hiding all these years. Its amazing how deceiving we can be to ourselves. So glad im moving forward with the sleeve.
  2. OK. I'm not familiar with them, but praying you hear something soon
  3. I understand your pain. My documents were submitted the 21st of December. As of Friday, they still have not received anything :-( I am scheduled January 20th but I can't get excites knowing that I'm still waiting. I will be calling Monday morning. What insurance company do you have? I havrBCBC NJ
  4. What insurance? Im waiting too!
  5. They will cover as primary. Yet my primary still hasnt received any information which is stressful. I have everything ready to go for the 20thm and kust want to know it ok. if i dont hear bk by Wednesday i will be calling.
  6. Sorry for the typos I was using voice to text :-(
  7. On December 18, my surgeon's office sent my paperwork to BCBS fir approval. Wrll denial, so I can get the approval through my secondary. Anyways, I started calling the day after to makr sure they got it. Well 7 business days later they still dont have it. They said it only takes a day or 2 to receive. My question is should I call the doctors office back and keep hounding them? I called twice, and the lady said she sent it. She also said that she needs the denial letter from primary. But when I talk to secondary, they said all they have to do is do the surgery, bill them and they will pay. My secondary is Horizon NJ health. Anyadvice? I dont want to be a nuisance but I also dont want to procrastinate.
  8. It was just a matter of calling and making an appt. I was seen within 2 week's. My first appt was with Dr.Boynton to decide on what surgery. Directly afterwards, I met with Chris. Based off a medical questionnaire, they let you know what clearances. They are very fast, and give you tons of great info and samples. I adore them. You do have to attend a support group but its right down the street at the hospital.
  9. Hello everyone, I am new here :-). I started my process 1 1/2 years ago, got prgnant on the pill, had baby, and picked back up in september. Ive gotten all my clearences and evals done. As of 2 weeks ago, my surgeon sent everything to the insurance company. I have BcBs as primary (they do not cover surgery) and horizon nj health as secondary. So ill post some helpful info. Surgeon :Dr. Chris Boynton, Lumberton NJ 609-267-7050 insurance BCBS PPO, (PRIMARY), HORIZON NJ Health (Secondary) Psych Consult: Diane Palmer, (Kennedy Health systems, Stratford) I will post the number when I find it. Consult was 100% covered with HNJH. No out of pocket expense Nutritional consult: Virtua Dieatary, 100% covered. Bariatric Nutritionist was through the Dr's office. HNJH would not cover, so office charges $35, one time :-) Bariatric Nurse: Chris Aroglia, she is awesome!!!!!!!!!!! She's ontop of everything and is always reachable. The hospital is Virtua Mt. Holly I am currently waiting for my primary to deny, so tgat it can be sent to secondary. I will update on how long the approval process. Otherwise it was 3 visits, all your necessary clearances, 2 nutritional appointments, and my PCP referral. Hope this helps :-)
