    There are people who do it...I just didn't want the extra stress and my coordinator and Dr. didn't want to chance it either.

    My sister renewed her passport (with the expedited fee) and got it back in 7 days!! I applied for mine, never had one, and it took 10 days (with the expedited fee) but we are very HAPPY with the quick service! Going to Mexico Jan 22nd. Good Luck "trulyamazingtoo" - I hope your co-coordinator is right about not needing one! I have heard it's not a good risk to take as you could get stuck in Mexico.

    Thanks everyone for the feedback. I will definitely get a passport before I go. Can't find my birth certificate either - so just applied for that! UGH

    I need to go in 3 weeks. I live in CA and I know there are these companies that can get your passport for you in 24 hours, or 7-10 days etc. I'd like to know of an recommendations thanks!
