PCOS any changes after surgery? or diet change?

I'm sorry! This is hard to hear.....I also have had pcos forever and am just two weeks post op. I'm really hoping it helps with blood sugar issues. I hate to hear you are still struggling. Could you be early menopause.......your symptoms sound hormonal. Are you on metformin? It always helped me tremendously. I'm hoping to never go back on it but if I need it I will.

    Manometry

Are you all from central california? It seems like ALSA is one of the only ones with this manometry requirement.

    Manometry

It's not pleasant but you can do it. I never want to do it again....that's for sure. I think trying to relax is key.

    How much Protein?

I just got out my paperwork. At 5'3 your range should be 52-57 grams of protein. It says "excess protein is not advised and can lead to kidney failure, liver failure and calcium loss from bones. You are also at greater risk for dehydration because it takes a tremendous amount of water to breakdown protein" Isn't it interesting how all programs are different?

    How much Protein?

We were just told in our pre-open nutrition class that protein needs are based on your height. I'm 5'2 and my range was around 55. They emphasized not going over your protein goal too much because it is hard on your kidneys. I had never heard about this before!
