  1. thank you so much everyone. I appreciate it. I understand that I'm going to hit stalls...and plenty of them!! lol just wasn't sure if it was normal to have one so early out. you're all amazing ????
  2. you're so right about the scale! it's such a horrible numbers game and it sucks to be frank. I haven't measured to be honest but I do notice some things getting looser...
  3. thank you Susan! yes I am a female with pcos. I'm all over the place cycle wise and I may be due within the next week or so (not even sure anymore with this!) but thank you so much for the input. just very frustrated. my whole thing...I'm not working this hard (and having most of my stomach removed!!!) just to gain weight. I could have done that on my own.
  4. hey guys. I was sleeved on 12/17/14. hw: 293 sw: 277 one week post op: 265.5. now I'm stuck. even up 2 pounds!!!!!! is this even close to normal?! I'm getting like 70g Protein, just about all my Water (sometimes I'm low (like 45-50oz)). going to the gym regularly, no sweets, junk, etc and being diligent about my Vitamins. has anyone else stalled this early out? I called my NUT and she seems to think it's my scale so I'm going to weigh in at the hospital tomorrow. but I know it isn't my scale. any suggestions?!
  5. I was also sleeved on the 17th. down 16 already!!!!!!!!! I'm on full liquids and able to get in everything to date but to those who are having protein issues, try premier protein!! it's 11 oz pre made shakes and 30g of pro!!!!!! no gross taste at all and actually tastes like boost shakes! lol it's been a life saver. you can pick up the 4 pack at Walmart and if you like it get a 36 pack from Costco. good luck everyone!!
  6. Dr Saniea Majid did my sleeve on 12/17/14 at st michaels medical center in newark
  7. you're very welcome!!! but you should definitely try the premier. you can pick up a 4 pack at Walmart to try for like $7. and then if anything get it from Costco 36 packs! lol it's a staple of mine since it's so much protein in such a little amount
  8. oh. and try premier protein (it's a pre made 11 oz shake)!! 30g of pro and there is LEGIT not a single protein taste! 1 sugar. low fat. sooooooo good. even better a little frosty. actually tastes like boost lol
  9. here's a refried bean soup recipe! throw it in the blender and enjoy! btw, alllllll Protein for the most part! I was sleeved on the 17th of this month and it's been a saving grace away from sweet flavors! 2 cans fat free refried Beans One can of black beans (drained and rinsed) One can rotel tomatoes and green chillies Handful of frozen corn Onion powder Garlic powder half of the large square container of chicken broth (veggie for you!) 1/2 cup Water to make it even yummier I put a small teaspoon of fage 0% (fat free greek yogurt) in the middle. tastes just like sour cream and a teeny sprinkling of fat free shredded cheddar it's heaven in a tiny bowl!! but be sure to blend the ever living hell out of it enjoy!!!
  10. I was sleeved on 12/17 and also had reactions to the tape. I actually just dealt with it even though my whole belly is red and itchy. I switched the dressings to hypoallergenic tape and it's made a world of a difference!!!! good luck.
  11. wow congrats @@WRIGHTLE!!! good for you. honestly I don't feel the restriction when I'm drinking. I can take the 4oz in an hour. I'm not sure if mine is just a little bigger or I tolerate it better. when I go to postop tomorrow I'm gonna ask bc I don't like that I don't have restriction lol but yes. plenty of nectar protein, water, sugar free koolaid drops... I live with a water bottle in my hand
  12. if you want a believable lie just tell them you have a hiatal hernia. it's the same incisions for the laparoscopy and the same postop diet (from what i understand). I have some family members who are like a news channel and sometimes it's better for people not to know the whole truth. that's what I told everyone (: good luck
  13. hi all! just a quick little yumyum tip! (especially for at home). if you wanna nibble some pizza and not kill the temperamental sleeves, use a low carb tortilla, some jarred pasta sauce and a string cheese. pop it in the oven for like 8 min and you have a tiny, sleeve friendly pizza!
  14. @@WRIGHTLE I feel amazing! shocked about how well I feel. I haven't taken any pain meds and was only given iv tylenol at the hospital. I get my drain out in the morning. was sore for about 3 days. now it's just lingering gas pains (tolerable). I'm able to get in all my liquids and tomorrow i graduate from clears to full (thank jesus!!!!!!) I have to keep telling myself to relax and that I just had major surgery! I want to clean the house lolol
  15. I got sleeved on the 17th of this month!
